Hello, I used to make these when i was young, Instead of trying to get it in like you are in a torpedo shape, simple cram a few layers of cling film (seranwrap) in with a stick first so it forms a platform over the vinegar, then you can safely pour the baking soda on top without it mixing, then if you put the lid on and turn it upside down it mixes better. You can also do this in a glass bottle, but beware! ;-)

you can also do the same thing with crystalized "Drano" in a bottle. Put about 2 inches of drano in the bottom. Add about 6 or 7 little pieces of tinfoil balls. Add some water about halfway. QUICKLY put on the top and give it a quick shake. Toss it and run like hell lol. Its a highly corrosive substance, i wouldnt recommend getting it on your skin or others skin.
