1)They couldn't get into the rhythm of the show
2)The guest repeated the phrase "constantly"

Johnney needs no excuses for anything...
If you really need one, I guess that the reason that comes to mind is underdeveloped senses of humor in the countries where his show was canceled.
Carson was the tops at bringing out the best in the guests on his show - second to none. If you do some watching on youtube, you will see.
