My local Trading Card shop showed me a beat up 1st edition base box that he found in the back. Since Pokemon card sales have since dramatically dropped at the local level. He was not interested in making money off of it. I asked him how much even though I thought it might not even be real (it was beat up). He says $125. I could not beleive it. Said yes and was the best decision I've made. Got a Mint 1st Edition Charizard. This was 3 years ago.

@nimalakers24 Yeah thats about how much one is worth, but were talking 1st edition packs and considering that you were to sell each pack individually, the card you have isnt first edition, there are three sets btw, 1st edition shadowless, shadowless unlimited, and unlimited base sets

1st edition pack = $175 plus

shadowless pack = $20 plus

unlimited = $9 max, this is the pack were your card came from, its the last set so its not as rare.

really the only way to make it official is to get it graded

The base box does not have an original factory seal. If you bought it this way you got scammed. Immedietely check the contents. The seals on the other 3 boxes look legitimate. The shrink plastic has been cut and re sealed. This is obvious by the long uneven shrink line around the box.

I don't think there was such a thing. The "shadow" was added to make the cards look a little better. After this, all sets after the Base set had shadows.

So the only shadowless Pokemon cards are the 1st ed. Base and non-1st ed. shadowless.

This question has already been answered. The 1st ed. Base boxes did not have the "Wizards of the Coast" stamps.

Not yet. The order of Base sets: 1st edition => Shadowless => Shadow. The 1st ed. Base set is pretty much the Shadowless with the "1 Edition" stamps.
