  • lol, yea i bought it from a moron at a computer store and when i opened it it was like already broken so i had to buy a new one today. I cant wait till it come I will be able to complete my computer!!!!

  • I wouldn't say that it's low end.

  • i have the rev 2 (upgraded version) for my i5 i would recommend this it is only £16 in the UK and keeps my cpu at 27-29c on idle havent been past 41c

playing crysis i get like 36-39c

you wont be dissapointed! comes with thermal paste on it already

  • seems to be good cooler =) everyone is saying.. i ordered that too =)

  • will this fit on a gigbyte ga-g31m-es2l mobo?

  • i dont think u fully seated to cooler properly. I think u had a pocket of air under the base. I have this cooler and i love it. I am getting 22C on a Q6600 overclocked at 3.2ghz. I am not lying.

  • @ChopperX thats pretty cool. on my phenom ii i get 25C idle and 45C full load

  • well your doing something wrong.

  • maybe

  • the thing you might have done is not got all the legs down try that and get good thermal compound

  • your doin something wrong then...

  • Wtf dude? You must have taken the thermal paste of or something and just skipped using thermal paste at all. Everyone says the cooler is good and I strongly doubt that the stock cooler is better.

BTW I have ordered one of these coolers rev.2 edition and it will be here tomorrow, hope it is good as everyone says it is.

  • @halladere someone cant fit a cpu cooler properly

  • Cool.. I had one on my AMD 7750 Kuma black edition and it does a great job!

  • i got the same pu whit a HyperTX2 whit 2 hyper kaze 3000 , running at 28-30c idle and 35-39 full load

  • where u get the cooler? because if it comes with arctic silver 5, i wanna take it

  • No the AS5 was separate from the client. It comes with nice looking paste on it from factory even though its a bit thick.

  • so it comes with a tube of thermal paste or no?(any tube of thermal paste)

  • Comment removed

  • i love this cooler i dont see why every one has trouble getting these things on and off but here is a secret ALWAYS LOCK THE PINS FIRST THAN PUSH THEM IN THE MOBO MUCH EASIER

  • You're supposed to leave them locked, as this guy says. The 'unlock' twist is just to 'pop' the HS out once you've gotten it in.

  • This is not really low end its middle, it is actually a pretty damn good performer.

  • i have never had any problems with pushpins i used them for all my builds never an issue... the only problem is when installing the ninja cooler onto the XFX 790i motherboard. the cooler from the northbridge was so high you could not get your finger in there to push them down.

  • is this or the xigmatek dark knight better?

  • dark night

  • yes, it also looks allot better too

  • all that expense teck and you go air cooled..why not spend the extra and go watercooling :-)

  • Ac7=$20 cheap shit watercooling =100..

  • nice

  • 3 heatpipes bro ;P

  • how is this low end cooler?

i have the stock, thats low end

wellllllll see tho i have the good brand of cpu

    you know

    amd

the one that doesnt force you to buy a after market heatsink, like intel

  • I heard that's a pretty good Heatsink too! Can't wait for the finished PC! Should be 1 hell of a PC! 5/5

  • why do people have such a bad feeling about push pin coolers, my coolers push pin and it sits really well, i prefer push pin to most coolers that use the backplate and screw because you risk bending the motherboard, but you don't have that problem with push pin...

  • i disagree. I have this exact heatsink and ive almost snapped my motherboard in half after taking this thing off about 3 times. I cant explain it very well, but the ends of the plastic that clip into place will bend outwards after taking it on and off a few times. Plus theres the worry that this things gonna fall off, because if i pull it then it just comes off. I mean seriously lol

  • iv never had a problem with push pins before, i'll do a vid of my xigmatek removing and reseating

  • vids up and running

  • you live in the same place as me, just thought id mention that lol

  • where about's do you live?

  • Had this Heat Sink for over a year and a half now and it works great. =)

  • does it usually come with arctic silver 5?

  • what kind of webcam do u have

  • Looks decent. I'm liking AC lately I have their Twin Turbo on my 4870 and the thing is wonderful.

  • Have you used the ACF7 in the past? How good is it?

I currently use the (Zalman?) 'Big Typhoon' and it barely brought down idle temps but drastically brought down load temps.

  • wait, I think it's thermtaltake

  • thermaltake what? not the cooler???

  • thermaltake i believe
