lol, yea i bought it from a moron at a computer store and when i opened it it was like already broken so i had to buy a new one today. I cant wait till it come I will be able to complete my computer!!!!
i dont think u fully seated to cooler properly. I think u had a pocket of air under the base. I have this cooler and i love it. I am getting 22C on a Q6600 overclocked at 3.2ghz. I am not lying.
Wtf dude? You must have taken the thermal paste of or something and just skipped using thermal paste at all. Everyone says the cooler is good and I strongly doubt that the stock cooler is better.
BTW I have ordered one of these coolers rev.2 edition and it will be here tomorrow, hope it is good as everyone says it is.
i love this cooler i dont see why every one has trouble getting these things on and off but here is a secret ALWAYS LOCK THE PINS FIRST THAN PUSH THEM IN THE MOBO MUCH EASIER
i have never had any problems with pushpins i used them for all my builds never an issue... the only problem is when installing the ninja cooler onto the XFX 790i motherboard. the cooler from the northbridge was so high you could not get your finger in there to push them down.
why do people have such a bad feeling about push pin coolers, my coolers push pin and it sits really well, i prefer push pin to most coolers that use the backplate and screw because you risk bending the motherboard, but you don't have that problem with push pin...
i disagree. I have this exact heatsink and ive almost snapped my motherboard in half after taking this thing off about 3 times. I cant explain it very well, but the ends of the plastic that clip into place will bend outwards after taking it on and off a few times. Plus theres the worry that this things gonna fall off, because if i pull it then it just comes off. I mean seriously lol

UndeadGunz 2 years ago
No the AS5 was separate from the client. It comes with nice looking paste on it from factory even though its a bit thick.
RickArter 2 years ago
so it comes with a tube of thermal paste or no?(any tube of thermal paste)

You're supposed to leave them locked, as this guy says. The 'unlock' twist is just to 'pop' the HS out once you've gotten it in.

Looks decent. I'm liking AC lately I have their Twin Turbo on my 4870 and the thing is wonderful.
MN12BIRD 2 years ago
Have you used the ACF7 in the past? How good is it?
I currently use the (Zalman?) 'Big Typhoon' and it barely brought down idle temps but drastically brought down load temps.
