@pearlxzildjian - thanks for the option. I think I'm going to put some led eyebrow lights on her and hook them up to the ignition switch with an on/off switch for the head lights. This way I can turn the HID lights on for those night rides and I can still have my low and high beams.

Nice bike but to be real all HIDs are illegal without a HID projector, thats why you wont see a luxury car/suv that came with factory HIDs without a projector and no they dont cost 600 buck!! Just get a set of projectors off of the bay and retro them into your existing headlights, cost maybe 200 bucks and some know how but legal and will produce way more useable light than what u have now guaranteed!!
All cbr's have a low beam on one side, and a high beam on the other. They only way you can have both come on at the same time is to buy some projectors. I have some coming in the mail and will have a video up in a couple weeks.

Better to be seen and possibly protect your own life then to worry about someone being a little uncomfortable for a few moments while they have to see the light from the HID's....
driving towards you ,you cant see anything but a big mass of blinding light ,you cant see the road. in those few seconds you are blind and can drift into the oncoming lane or off the road into a car or person, ive had this happen twice and if i had not moved right to the shoulder just incase i would be dead.And when you ride behind people and blind them especialy with crappy flickering hids in the 8k+colour range 95% of their attention is on you and the rest on the road in front of them.

Just curious, is your 95% statistic fact based from a valid source or are you just speaking figuratively? I do agree with you on the 8k ranges though, the bluish color is more distracting and can create a "flickering" occasionally.
if your driving and someone with bright hids is coming towards you causing you to be "blind" and you drift into the oncoming lane, wouldn't you be driving into the light? Why would someone be dumb enough to drive INTO the light thats blinding them? And if someone drove behind me or next to me with 10 naked girls in the back of a pickup and 95% of my attention was on them, would it be their fault if I crashed?

Search for DDM HID's thats where i got mine from.
