I had a chance last year during the International Air Picnic in Goorashka (Góraszka) in Poland (I'm from Poland ;) ), but I was there on Saturday and C-47 from RAF in painting of D-Day was during the second day of Air Picnic - on Sunday... :(
Hi. I use to work at Southend Airport a few years ago and it was nice to see the old place again! My father use to run the Airport Club too back in the late 50's and early 60's. I remember the DC3's in service with BKS, Channel Airways Etc along with the Vickers Vikings. I was working for Britavia when the Vulcan arrived, Awesome, on the day before when it made several low passes deafening everyone. Magic! We had a DC6 in the Heavylift hanger then for Air Atlantique. What date was this taken?
This was filmed on the 24th of may 2008. Thanks for your coment, its very intresting. I was excited to see the vulcan too, the airshow was the day after, which is why there is a catalina next to it (which we saw land). This flight was meant to fly from Biggin Hill airport, but Bromley banned it just before, after a small jet crashed from biggin hill.
I have lots more footage of other aircraft at the airport and the airport grounds that I can make into a video if you want?
Haha cheers! I checked out the plane, t looks great, i havent got much time at the moment for fsx, but in a couple of weeks i should be back in the skies with you lot!
