He wasn't even late, he just kicked over the ball and hit Lisandro in the ankle. On purpose or not, hard to say, but to me it looked like he miscalculated where the ball was going.

Looks very bad... yes. Red card...maybe. 3 match ban...imho not deserved.

the 3-day ban is a must. The foul looked intentional, apparently he was aiming for the guy's ankle before he stepped on it. An ugly foul, and players must be protected from this kind of action.

Anyone who thinks that is a fair tackle needs their head testing, it doesn't look bad but the studs are too high and it could have broken the opponent's leg.

the three day ban is an absolute joke. there is no way this should be a red card. the tackle was late, so a yellow is fair. it wasnt two footed or behind. it was during the play and there was no intent to harm. He was late, simple as that. If the person gets hurt or not should not alter the referees decisions. There have been soft challenges that end careers and extremely dirty challenges where the player limps for two minutes and continues to play.

I dislike Ribery with a passion but this in no way is the three match suspension that he received. Like many others have said I have seen much worse tackles that have gotten yellows and even nothing. It was simply a mistimed challenge.

With that kind of tackle he's extremely lucky that the leg doesn't snap, you don't get much closer to a broken leg than this tackle, which should motivate a further suspension of about 1 game in my book.

Now I'm not saying that we should wait for a player to loose his leg to do something! By the way I must say that English football is the worst: a yellow card in the premier league would be a red one in most of the European leagues. Refs in England are way too cool with the players. But again I still think that tackle from Ribery didn't deserve a straight red

This fuckin red card is given because the referee is italian and inter MIlan could be in finale . Usually , we never see any red card for this kind of fault .

@BassT4ken Justement, tu crois que son pied glisse sur la cheville de Lissandrop pourquoi ? Parcequ' il veut juste joeur le ballon . Ribery fait souvent ce mouvement pour diriger la balle ,c' est à dire extérieur pied , pied piqué sur la pelouse .Le problème ici c' est que Lissandro met juste son pied devant et juste avant . Quand les deux joueurs vont au contact, les arbitres n' ont pas pour habitude de mettre un rouge ou alors il faut qu' ils mettent rouge dans tous ces genres d' action.
