I'm confused by all the comments from people saying their TB sets keep breaking.  I had an X3 for 3 years and it only broke when I accidentally sat on it. I've had an X11 for over a year and a half with no problems. I upgraded to the DX12 for the surround sound and I'm very happy with them.

@DenyThisFlesh Hey I got DX12's and whenever I charge my controller and have the chat cable in Iget a horrible buzzing noise. How do I get rid of this or did I just get a shitty pair. If this is how there made then I would say the headset suck. the buzzing is still there when Im playing with the controller wireless but its really low.

@1RickRude My iPhone makes a buzzing noise when I'm charging it and it's hooked up to the car aux. It's some electrical shit, headset is fine.

what do you think of the x41 wireless 360 ones? they look like a toned down px5 dual system ones

@infiltr8 Not a fan of them. I'm really not a fan of wireless audio since with those I think they're not dual band so things like wifi and phones etc interfere with them. The newer ones that are coming out don't but I believe those do.

@cutpUK The X11/X12's were my favorite Turtle Beach Headphones..none of mine broke but after I gave them away they all broke after..you just have to ask yourself..do you think you want to upgrade to Dolby Surround Sound or not.

The X12's have come a long way since the X11's and if you're used to them I'd say it's worth a shot..Turtle Beach sure won't help you fix them.

Out of curiosity, what makes your Astros better than the Turtle Beach DX12? I'm debating on which one to get.

@Level4Gaming I honestly think the X12 are a good pair of headphones but I have Astros and Sennheiser HD 598 (the headphones I use mainly) which happen to be better in my opinion..Astros are a good investment for the simple fact that they stand by their product and if something goes wrong with it they will fix it.

Turtle Beach folks really don't respond or try to help you at all. Besides the build quality is just way better in my opinion. The key to the Astros is the mix amp, it's a beast.

@Level4Gaming You could even just get the mix amp and some SteelSeries Siberia v2's which in my opinion have a more realistic sound than the Astros and they're more comfortable overall.

@IMDAGSTAR yeah..the build quality of them isn't good at all..The only quality product they make besides the HPA is the DSS..and this one so far isn't all that great.
