@bew140993 : Umm no, that's Espada 1. The hero (Demon Lord) shot him down in the Belkan War. Later he died, the way is different depending on you ace style, but he still died.
Barlett was shot down in the game though. If you play mission 10 on Mercenary, and ace called Grabacr will appear piloting Su-47. He will shot down Huckebein (pops) and Hrtbreak One in the game later. That is if you spare him..

that means that the hero becomes Grabacr 1 in Ace Combat Squadron Leader....

@bew140993 It's evident when you play the mission The Unsung War in AC squadron leader. If you let the Grabacrs live long enough he will say.
"I was the one who shot down Barlett and Huckebein in the war 15 years ago."
Found it when finishing the last mission with Guns and F-5 only :)
