Revenge is the only word, 'that' does not stand in military terms, as a military action, therefore; when a military unit commits revenge, there 'is' no honor. Revenge is the only word you could put on this stupidity of killing old women, men and children. What honor is there in such an action? Therefore, rescind the Medals of Honor for the Wounded Knee Massacre (battle, in military terms).
Read the epic novel "Rescue at Pine Ridge", 5 stars Amazon Int., the story of the revenge and redemption.
@jjenniferstone Thank you, this was the hardest song I ever did to get right. When I went down there, I realized the chaotic part after the call (the long notes before the drums enter) had to be the people running.

Not that I'm any where near the composer he was, but that's the musical influence.
The 7th Cavalry was entrapped the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. The 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers rescued the 7th Cavalry.
Read the novel, Rescue at Pine ridge, the story of the rescue of the famed 7th Cavalry by the Buffalo Soldiers, and visit website; rescue at pine ridge. com. The novel embodies Native Americans, Outlaws and Buffalo Soldiers, in the days of the Native American Wars with the approach USA. Story is about, brutality, compassion, reprisal, bravery, heroism and gallantry.
So much for Yellow Bird's bullet proof shirts. Reminds me of Isatai, who claimed that he could change the weather, bring the dead back to life, and had his own particular ritual for stopping bullets. His ritual didn't go so well either. Good thing that some didn't go to Adobe Walls that day with him and the rest.. As those refusing to go so aptly put the matter, killing Tonkawa cannibals is one thing, but nothing good has ever come from trying to kill the white man.
Coward Americans...shooting women and children from their hilltop...still doing do the same from gunships in Iraq/Afghanistan...and they wonder why Muslims want to kill them...go figure

Stop with this if the land is still in the whites hands blah blah blah yes I understand this was a very very awful thing but still the Jewish people had it even worse. So just stop please your not going to make the "white people give up your land" and by the way it's not your land it's gods
Good video and refrences, it is very educating. I am also Native American, I am Cherokee, and Catawba. My people had The Trail of Tears happen to them. It's so sad to hear of all these tragedys that happened to all NDN tribes when the settlers moved in and took over. =(
The survivors of the Wounded Knee massacre were taken to a church which had a banner strung across the pulpit saying: PEACE ON EARTH GOOD WILL TO MEN...
