@DovonMac1 Think a bit before asking the most stupid questions. You can call any school College, but that's only the name. Not the status or type of educational facility. I went to a school called Midstream College Primary + Secondary. That was from Gr 6 - 9.
Buy the new "Christmas at King's College" book from Novello...It has this arrangement, many new ones by Cleobury, and some of the newly commissioned carols.
@choirboy526 I love hearing the different descants every year. I've heard a couple of them repeated before, but it seems there are at least four different ones. I'd love to know how many there are total. :)
And King's does it again. (Not as though anyone believed they wouldn't!)
Thank you so much for posting these up. I have to admit to watching them the whole year round, and they're absolute joys, no matter how many times I see them. I've been waiting on this year's ceremony to go up, and I was so happy to find them on your channel tonight— even if it seems that that lovely setting of "Adam Lay Ybounden" doesn't seem to have made the televised service.
Powerful harmony. I especially got goosebumps when the organ began playing. Deep, solemn and very, very, VERY powerful.

A bit sloppy around 2:06 with the "watch-ch-ched" it should be a bit better than that, especially from Kings College Choir!

I agree, I was surprised at the fireworks coming so early on.
Perhaps its just me, but I felt this year Stephen Cleobury delievered an even more energetic concert than in years past.

I'm on YouTube!!!! I was at this service, being a King's student, and I enjoyed it a lot. Not least because I was sat next to Sir David Willcocks.

You are indeed fortunate. I am impressed that the great man still takes the time to attend the carol service! Did you say anything to him?

I was too gobsmacked to be honest. I think I said "Sorry, what was you name again?" "David Willcocks." "..." - I was almost speechless.
