  • Great Job. I really like the BMW 2002 tail lights! It's been about 1 1/2 year now, how it the old Scout holding up? Have you taken it on any special runs? Thanks for sharing.

  • @TheDropOutHAMB Great pick up on the 2002 tail lights that made my day. I ussed to have a roundie but now have a 76 with the less coveted square lights. I wanted a roundie and now I have it. Thanks for the comment.

  • @TheDropOutHAMB She is resting in the barn waiting for spring, Did not get as many wheeling trips in as I wanted last year but man is it fun to get it out on a hot summer day. recently picked up a 95 Range Rover that may become my wheeler to preserve the hard work. Its tough though because the scout really likes to wheel

  • Very nice job. Love seeing old vehicles brought back to life.

  • great, you make me feel like i'm gonna restore my dad's scout 800 too same color with yours, wew great!!!!!

  • awesome

  • where did you get most of your parts? i am having a hard time finding a spring kit, drums, and alost everything for the tires for the back.

  • Cool video! Great paint pick too, I think if I ever buy a Scout, I'll paint it blue.

  • i had a 61 80 this vid makes me miss it = ( might have to pick up another 1

  • Great video. The truck looks incredible. Nice work.

  • Great video! I have a 1970 800a. I absolutely love yours. Color is great. I love the leather seats. Enjoy the fruits of your labor.

  • Wow That looks GREAT! I inherited one from my dad and going to pick it up next month, It need lots of tlc, But the passion is there so I can't wait to get started! Are those rollbars going straight down to the frame? and if so where did you get them?

I have been a Scout fan since birth!!!!

  • @nshighlander11 The roll bar came out a Jeep. The back angle supports go through the body and attach to a new fabricated cross member. If you look in the rear wheel well you can see the roll bar attached. It is not shown in the video though

  • hur monga år tog inte detta

  • Very nice... good job!

  • Mine has the 266 V8... looked like yours did too, nice work

  • Nice work.

  • I have a 66 scout 800a also, i love the colors you picked. is that the 266 engine?

  • The 4cyl came in two versions the 152 and the 196 both being half of their larger brothers the 304 and the 392. the 152 put out a whopping 88hp not sure what the specs on the 196 are

  • Good work and nice colors!

  • amazing...great job. i have a scout 2 long cap... a lot of work is waiting :) greez from : airbrush-austria com, chris

  • are you a member on the binder planet forums? if so, what is your user name?

  • I have to commend you on the the truck not many people can say I did this myself. She is beautiful hope you enjoy her very much and thanks for the great video, keep us all posted

  • great build. I have a 67 torn down in my garage now. I got lucky...found it in New Mexico (no rust). I'm soda blasting off the old paint and sand blasting the frame. Pulling the 266 V8 and dropping in a GM Performance 350. I'll do the whole project except the upholstery. I hope mine will look as clean as yours.

  • I like your work and how you don't farm out stuff like upholstery. I have a 68 scout 800 that I plan on painting ,was wondering how you removed the old paint on yours.

  • Thanks alot. I found a paint remover at fleet farm. I don't know where you are from you may find it at Farm & Fleet if you have those chains near you. It comes in a spray can and was in their automotive spray paint department. Spray on let sit a while and the paint just bubbled off. Home Depot also has a really nice sponge like abrasive wheel, its blue and might be called ez strip that goes on an angle grinder and rips off paint but does not effect metal

  • I took two trailer fenders from Farm & Fleet cut and welded together and welded it into the floor. The backing piece was made from the cut out to keep the lines of the floor. I could not stand covering up the stamped tailgate with the spare

  • bravo, she's a bute

  • thats cool man! i did the same thing but i restored a scout 2 so ill post a vid of all my pics
