Grant it, bigger helis are more stable and a simple liftoff stationary hover is no big deal. Now a piro flip would of been impressive, but whats gets me is that a group of people of who at least one has to understand the energies involved would even consider the flight. 1. Anyone who says that "hovering a .90 sized helicopter in a confined space isn´t dangerous due to the "stability of the machine", etc has no knowledge of the subject whatsoever. Ever heard about turbulence or ground effect? Both of them combined? There is a complete different matter to hover a helicopter in a closely confined space than outdoors, NO MATTER OF SIZE OR MAKE!!!

2. The only alcohol involved in this stunt is probably the METHANOL used to run the engine. Itis PURE STUPIDITY that fuels the pilot (and the spectators who willingly risk their lives). Sorry to say, but people NEVER ends to surprise me when it comes to stunts to show off and risk their and others lives. The fumes from the fuel is of no consequence for the situation here, but MOMENTUM and fragility is!

2b. Anyone who thinks that there is time to throw a chair or towel at the helicopter or shield themselves in a potential malfunction situation need to wake up! An accident turns fatal in at maximum some tenths of a second. If a rotor blade strikes a foreign object the debris will hit someone in a number of milliseconds... Maybe not fatal, but very likely potentially lethal.

No matter how stable you think a .90 size helicopter is in hover, how well built it is of the best available materials, or how skilled you are flying your model, you can NEVER prepare an electro-mechanical device for 100% failure tolerance! haha because these helicopters are really unstable to hover. its like trying to balance a marble on a plate of glass, but everyone one of your movements is delayed.

So its unstable, and those blades are going probably 2-3k rpm. if that hits someone serious injury. If it grazed their neck? dead for sure.
