  • He reminds me of another great singer, James Mattingly from Erie, P.A.

  • @theclickbeetles an upvote for you sir

  • Wow, this is such a great song. Mike Viola is a gifted songwriter, and has an almost heavenly voice.

  • I love this song! Mike and Pete from the Figgs definitely add to this version. Man, the Northeast sure can hold it's own!

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great harmonies...

  • awesome music--if you crossed the Beatles, Squeeze, Wings, Gin Blossoms, and Fountains of Wayne, this is what you'd get. I bought LURCH--not a lemon on it! I'm not accustomed to liking every song on an album but it happened. Hang on Mike is good too.

  • Mike is an absolute musical genious and one of the nicest musicians I have ever met. Why he is not more popular is an absolute mystery. Hang On Mike is an absolute classic album.

  • LOVE MIKE. and love the vocal improvy fun he has in at the end of the bridge.

  • Disagree...Mike Viola is a fantastic songwriter. You certainly don't have to like it but it's not "weak ass shit."

  • @poptartjen I kind of agree with both of you. Listening to this, I can tell the words and the chord progressions (the actual songwriting) are pretty great. What's kinda lame is the instrumentation. It's not Mike's strong suite. It's plain and rather generic. It's why the beatles were so successful, besides coming along at the perfect time, they had both good songwriting and interesting instrumentation.
