Tessa had a beautiful Soprano voice and will be greatly missed, however Filia, the main Soprano voice on this recording is Janet Coxwell. Tessa Bonner sings one of the echo parts.

Carissimi was once regarded as the greatest composer in the world, and in baroque Rome there was a lot of competition. He deserves to be on the A list.

Tessa Bonner passed away on 31 December 2008, RIP. A terrible loss to the performance and promotion of early music, it's some consolation that she made so many recordings which we can continue to enjoy for many years to come.

This performance was recorded by Gabrieli Consort and Players, I think the soprano was Tessa Bonner? I love this piece.
