  • I've never seen any one with Kosho skills to match Patrick McGoohan

  • This was before Bruce got very fat.

  • I was there. I was about 8 or 9. Damn this bring backs memories

  • poor sensei brown,

  • Very smooth sir! It's obvious to the skilled martial artist, that you are very knowledgeable and highly skilled. Keep spreading the truth.

  • I am not saying that this instructor has nothing to offer but this demo is typical of so called experts making a buck off ignorant students. First of all, this guy doesn't look in too great a shape and the attacks he is fending off are a joke and always close to being the same. Plus, look at the guys expression when he is demonstrating. Something just isn't right-I can say that with a fairly long history in martial arts.

  • @banditcoots - With a fairly long history in martial arts, as you claim, I'm surprised you don't know your history of the martial arts in America. Do some research and learn who Hanshi Juchnik is and who he has studied from.

  • @banditcoots It does LOOK like its that type of instructor demo...but what you don't get is that this is all just him feeling what is right at that exact moment. Its all based off of the same attack so it WILL all look similar. Try going to a seminar with this guy and have him do some stuff to you. The first time I met him I watched him send a 350lb INSTRUCTOR 20ft backwards...while making it look like he stood still. It looks like magic, but it will blow your mind when done to you.

  • Very impressive, Very effective.

I love how he locks the spine.

  • Amazing! Does anyone have the contact details of Sensie Brown? I lost touch with him since I left RI and went back home after college.

  • @enanih - Send a message to the webmaster at the skski website and they should be able to get you the contact info for Sensei Brown

  • i have also had the pleasure of learning from hanshi at a seminar,

RI and Oshawa, Canada. as well as living at Sensei Brown's dojo for 2months.

wonderful gentlemen and awesome martial artists both.

if you ever have a chance to learn from either of them, seize it!

  • Dang....Hanshi, I always enjoy watching your work at the yearly gathering. You move without moving, or you just don't have to do as much as us mere mortals. I will be happy to see you again in 2010, at the gathering again....I hope. Best of luck...Master Ron Saturno

  • I trained with Sensei Brown for almost 3 years . He is an awesome martial artist and swordsman, but more than that he is a great teacher and a good friend. I miss those days.

  • Hanshi has evolved so much in this time! Blows my mind every time I see him!

  • Please keep in mind this video was shot about 15 years ago.

  • too much unneccesary movement.

why use all those quick strikes when one or two could do the job quicker, easier, and more effectively?

  • Comment removed

  • Because of the alignment of those quick strikes, they are extremity effective. as for easier, he is compleatly relaxed. does it look like he is using allot of effort? Good question thought!

  • In practice it looks like unreal. But, at an emergency you don't go to think what to do. This concept is natural and one of the things that people do in an emergency is doing repetitive movements. The adrenaline it's so high that you are gone to do all this things to safe your life. And the opponent has his adrenaline high to, and one or two kicks don't gone to give effects because the tense moment. And repetitive practice prepare your brain to react quickly.
