A relationship can be rebuilt and stronger than ever after an affair if the one is willing to give a sincere apology, change their behavior to rebuild trust and both are willing to make changes to grow for the other.

I disagree. I feel if someone cheats on you than it pretty much destroys the relationship. Now matter how bad you want to forgive someone for such a terrible thing like infedelity, its going to eventually destroy the relationship due to trust issues. It will be next to impossible to trust someone again who has cheated on you. Just move on and find someone who respects you enough not to make the mistake to begin with.

I remember first hearing this song when it came out back in... 2003 or 2004 I believe.. I had just started finding out my fiance was cheating on me and how much this touched me. I had him listen to it so he knew how I felt... didn't work, he got mad that I felt like he didn't love me rather than feel touched or hurt that I felt that way... He was such a negative influence in my life, I don't know why I put up with him as long as I did. I never think this song with my husband now, he's my prince.

i can honestly say that me and my hubby have definitley had our moments when we first got married and it almost ended up like this song but we both realized that we are stubborn,hardheaded and have a temper but we managed to hang on to our marriage and we have been married for 7 years now and it's going stronger and stronger every day :-)

Makes me wonder how this song of Rodney Atkins was not a #1 hit and some of his newer stuff that is not as impressionable is so highly rated on the billboard charts. I disagree. Cheating is not acceptable but neither is a lot of other selfish behavior that we all do. A relationship can be rebuilt and stronger than ever after an affair if the one is willing to give a sincere apology, change their behavior to rebuild trust and both are willing to make changes to grow for the other.
If it is a dating relationship, there may be more cause to leave, but if it is a marriage, rebuild it. Recommend going to Weekend to Remember.

I disagree. I feel if someone cheats on you than it pretty much destroys the relationship. Now matter how bad you want to forgive someone for such a terrible thing like infedelity, its going to eventually destroy the relationship due to trust issues. It will be next to impossible to trust someone again who has cheated on you. Just move on and find someone who respects you enough not to make the mistake to begin with.
