  • Well, hp is at the wheels and bhp is at the flywheel, so its 836hp at the wheels and 1017bhp at the flywheel (calculated)!

  • Ah, I never twigged the difference, although i have had a couple of cars on rolling roads in the past. It's obvious now as the original bench testing of an engine used a brake on the output shaft. So there's the 'b' right there. ;-)

  • And, checking on Wikipedia just now, I'm laughing my head off to realize that originally James Watt invented 'Horsepower' as a marketing tool, to help sell the steam engines he was making! X-D

    And that he probably over estimated fis figures too.
