  • nice arrangement with background singers, nice ending, very bold for men to sing this in 1965, however it doesn't really work.

  • @wattever333 I think this applies more to men. women think they own their men more so than vice versa.

  • ha they didn't sing "I'm young and love to be young, I'm free and I love to be free, etc."

  • Basil can be seen on the "Twist and Shout," lp cover on the right!!!

    gov'nor!!!

  • FANTASTIC SONG

  • Little memories about this music.

    Many thanks, SirBasil

  • Very nice version!

  • It's nice to hear this done by someone other than Leslie Gore, they do a great job. Thanks for sharing this!!

  • Thanks. Yep, it's not a bad effort.

  • but it's STILL her party!!!

    ;)

  • And she can cry if she wants to!

  • To tell you the truth, I wouldn't want anything to do with him, let alone "own him," as he puts it. He's rather "full of himself" isn't he? I think he needs to be taken down "a peg or two" actually.

    Thank you.

    5*****.

    Jennie.

  • Yeah!

  • I don't know what he wants really, do you? Who does he think he is anyway?

  • I'm getting that he just wants you to let him be himself, and, if I'm not mistaken, that that's all he's asking of you. Or of any of us, for that matter.

  • Well, seeing as I don't "own him," he can do whatever he wants to do, can't he? I quite agree, he should be his "own person," but in a less aggressive manner.

    Thank you.

  • An impressive cover of this song ... you forget how good they were!
