  • sick video man!!! those snow covered trees and full white scenes would have looked insane in 3d as a timelapse pan but you probably woulda ended up stuck in a sinkhole under a tree to get it :P you should hit up the resorts and tell them you'll do some 3d day on the resort / tour clips in return for some sort of lovin.

  • I'm 15 years old, riding for 2 years now, and I'm so much better than you. :D

  • @roflixdehlol at wanking?

  • Es una autentica pasada!!!!!!

  • Seriously come to Utah for 10X the snow pack and skiing

  • @MyFryBri One day I'll make it over there ! Is there anywhere you would recommend ? We don't get nearly that much snow in Oz but its still always fun! check out or subscribe to my channel for heaps more 3D videos if ya like this one there are newer videos that are done with the GoPro 3D System which are much better than this one !

Thanks for the feedback & Utah is definitely on the bucket list ! (Along with Austria, Switzerland, Japan, Canada etc.. I need to win Lotto !!!!)

  • how did you make the camera turn so slowly?

  • @ForeverGoneLongboard google "kitchen timer panning timelapse"

  • why does the white balance on the cameras looks different? aren't ther supposed to be totaly synchronised. or does snchronization only works for time and not the video settings when shooting?

  • @dimamobvideos The Sync cable that comes with the new GoPro 3D Hero System only starts the cameras on the same frame but doesn't even stop them at the same time so it isn't a sync cable but more a slave cable.

the cameras are independent from each other so the white balance will have to be adjusted in post unless you are lucky enough to have 2 cameras with identical white balance. This clip was made with a custom built 3D rig so it doesn't have any sync cable, my newer vids are with sync cable

  • Cool vid and editing style...I just got a GoPro and love it,it will be coming with me to Thredders and Hotham this year, last year was the first season I missed since 96 thanks to MX and a broken arm!! Check out my vid, just did it on imovie but I got final cut pro and want to make a good one as soon as I get enough good footage.

  • @NeilSurry : how did you do the quick motion camera rotation? it looks way too smooth to be made by hand... thanx in advance for your answer. one remark though: objects in near field (closer than 2 meters) are too wide spread to be recognized as 3D, the brain simply can't take it. other than that: great movie, i really like it!

  • @SebiTimeWaster When i made this clip i was learning as i went along, as it was one of my first 3D videos, yes i'm aware of the objects outside the point of convergence (which strain the eyes) but only learned this after filming had finished so couldn't change it as footage was already recorded, Our season In Australia is starting soon so I will be setting the distance to the cameras with that in mind this year - as for the slo panning google "kitchen timer panning timelapse" thanks from Neil

  • @NeilSurry: as i said, it was only a remark. thanx for the hint, it would never have occurred to me to use such kind of "hardware" for panning... ;o) and now i'm also curious about your next video.

  • hi!

i liked the vid when i saw it some days ago... in the meantime i tried my own 3d stuff. now i appreciate even more because my own stuff - well needs some improvements...

what distance between the lenses does your rig have? are the cams parallel or do they squint? what software do you use?

i would be exited about some hints!

  • @dirtypages G'day mate thanks for the feedback.

The cams are parallel - high tensile bolt through both waterproof cases & some spacers & washers.

The lenses are the same distance as my eyes, the cases are almost touching each other and i do all my editing within Final Cut Pro 7.

    Hope this helps

  • @NeilSurry

thanks! first i thought my problem was the hardware setup.

but now i found that my problem was the adjustment of the two layers.

simple clicking on "automatic" adjustment and / or plaing with the controls wasn't enough.

but now it works! waiting for the mountain bike season to start here in europe!

  • @dirtypages Cool man I look forward to seeing your videos - Subscribe to my cahnnel if you want to see more 3D videos coming soon

  • @NeilSurry

subscription done. you bet! first mountain bike park will open in two weeks. so long!

  • Thanks Abe !

Very happy to hear that you guy's liked it !

I cant wait for the 3d rig as the sync cable will make life much easier

keep up the good work !

  • nice job! Watched this on a 46" 3D TV at the GoPro office. The new 3D rig coming out soon will make this process much easier!

  • Excellent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AWESOME! It's even better the 2nd time round. When r u going to do a 3-D Moto X movie?

  • @WilliamJEldeir

Thanks William I'll get back to you on the 3D moto X movie, sounds like a great idea and I have a mate that is a keen rider that will take the cameras out for a ride !

    Watch out Nitro circus !

  • Great Job Rip! I have to hand it to you, your a Genius. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome
