  • That must've costed over 2k...

Is it bad that I know all those cards...? XD

  • You could do so much better with Horde of Notions.

  • Foil timetwister, dident know u could play with proxys ? but i quess so :)

  • Asian cards are pimp, and look great. i have most of my decks fully japanese. Alot of his cards are chinese.. which is really ugly. atleast i think so.. its not very pimp. Chinese cards are the cheapest cards u can buy, cheaper than english

  • i love this deck

  • Lol magus of the moon ruination blood moon... Nice deck bro

  • Jesus, even if he sucks, atleast he can brag about how much money this pile of cards are worth.

  • "I think a lot of people are gonna try it out"? Since there's easily over $1000 of cardboard in there, I highly doubt it.

  • @infikitsune RIGHT BRO?! like c'mon his lands alone are like 400$+

  • lol Città di Ottone is in ita!

  • Lol if you don't know what those cards do cuz their in asian text get better at magic and stop bitching, FBB cards = bucket loads of win

  • Rather see decks that won't cost most people more than an entire paycheck just for the land base.

  • Judging from other people's comments on here, they don't like blinged decks. I love bling in my decks though. Someday, I want to have my entire Ghost Council deck foil.

  • I like how his one "Japanese card" Umezawa's Jitte is pretty much the only card he has tha is NOT printed in Japanese :P

  • The person who made this deck assumed two fallacies: first, he's assuming that he's only playing against a single opponent. Most EDH games are multiplayer, which leaves many of his cards that would do well against a single player - the one-mana 3/3's, the Thoughtseize and other discard effects, and several of the destroy effects for weenies - lackluster, at best. Second, he's assuming that the 2+ other players in the game won't be packing mass removal as control/combo players so often do. =x <3

  • This guy = typical EDH douchebag. Half your deck is foreign just for looks. Good job bro.

  • *Shows Knight of the Reliquary, which is obviously painted as female*

    "This guy"

"He is one of the best".

  • @SweetZombiJesus haha xD

  • Frankly, anyone who doesn't know what the majority of these cards do probably shouldn't play EDH. All of these cards are staples and the few that are not he did explain. On a personal note: Asian cards are the most beautiful.

  • @Xiaofuzhouming EDH is a 'for fun' format, so if anything, people who do NOT know the staples should play to help them learn.

  • whats the point of having an elemental commander when theres at max like 5 cards that you can use ability for...i made an elemental deck with horde as my general, and out of the 35 to 50 creatures i have, all but like 5 are elementals...i just dont get it...if u wanted to play a 5 color edh like you said, why not use Child of Alara, or maybe one of the Slivers, queen, lord, maybe you could have used the False God legendary.

  • @bjuusgsgealllo Probably because the Horde of Notions is a pretty good beater as well, with haste and trample. :)

  • f*cking japanese cards :S

  • love the zwang

  • Haha, I was about to go on a rant about how Clossus isn't an elemental. I forgot about the Changeling ability... DERP.

  • i came here for help because i've never played edh before and i liked horde of notions a lot, especially because it would let me run all five colors. instead of finding help, however, i found an "anyone can have a good deck if they spend enough money" kind of deck tech. this is why i hate magic sometimes.

  • what is the name of the card at 1:50

  • Serra Ascendant is a 6/6 flyer for 1 white mana that you can fetch with Ranger of Eos. Seems good in your deck. Also, you should be running a single basic land so that when someone uses Path to Exile you don't fail your search...

  • the best card in there is Burning-Tree-Wolverine !!

  • Since you chose to proxy Time Twister I figure you are ok with that practice, if so; is there any perticular reason that you don't play Ravages of War?

  • If you want to go to tournament, you should know, that several cards from ths deck are banned - Tutors, Scullclamp, Wheel of Fortune...

  • @MealstromKing your an idiot....but anyway getting to the foreign thing. Personally i believe that is ok but just dont over do it, this guy over did it, if you want to show off your deck just foil it out. This guy in my shop has a Intet deck fully foiled cept for the really old stuff. Even his basics are foil unhinged valued around $7 each. I dont know about everyone elses opinion but his deck is badass

  • (Josh) @bustedzhit this deck is clearly a 1v1 deck and is not meant for multiplayer. Armageddon is a card tha you don't play in group games, and is more acceptable in a 1v1 game. No need to call anyone a disgrace. Thanks ;)

  • (Josh) my general is horde of notions because he is a much better beatdown creature than cromat. I originally started with cromat and moved to the horde because vigilance, trample, and haste are more relevant than cromats abilities. Cromat is very mana intensive, and you'd rather be casting spells than using his abilities.

  • Your general shouldn't be Horde of Notions. You only play 1 elemental creature in your deck. Your general should be Cromat. Much better 5 color general and defiantly fits the deck better.

  • The man who built this deck is a disgrace. Your videos talk about the unwritten "Gentleman's Contract" but every EDH player knows that playing Armageddon is one of the biggest kicks in the balls that exists. I was all excited because you were building EDH aggro, but wait, I forgot about the fact that I don't have $5000 to spend on LANDS, especially not ones that you'll be destroying at the first opportunity.

  • @BustedZhit

The view on land destruction varies from playgroup to playgroup, as does the view on infinite combo decks. Therefor saying that a single unbanned card automatically breaks the gentleman's contract is quite subjective. Aggressive strategies like this one really have a much, much harder time when you cannot play mass LD, so for fans of it, it is nice that some groups are ok with it and the same is true for fans of broken combos.

  • wtf no crib swap ... for 5 mana whit the horde was just easy full to do !

  • Is this deck any good in Multiplayer? I'd imagine it's good in 1v1. But We only play Mutliplayer locally.

  • It needs to be legendary to be a general.

  • alternative way to learn chinese / japanese / korean

"mom i can read japanese and chinese and even the korean you should buy me more magic cards"

  • Wow, this guy must be new to edh... your turn 4... oh, i'm at 19? ok... my turn? I win.

  • I made ANT into an EDH deck with Magister Sphinx for my General. I splashed in white for some control.

  • Needs moar pimp.

  • If you guys could do a deck list that would be great. With most of the cards being foreign it was really hard to decipher what was being played there. Especially for someone myself who has been playing only for a year.

I was disappointed with this decklist. I had hoped that I would see alot more elemental cards in the deck. This deck seems to be more of an ultra competitive edh deck (best of everything) & I am not so sure that is really the spirit of EDH. (2 cents)

  • its lock like lame !? becours he doesen t use mana fixing in. a 5 colores deck without mana fixen lose the game quiklierer. i played this deck with many mana fixer with green and blue to draw and black to destroid mhhh

  • how does this deck change with the release of Worldwake, Rise of the Eldrazi, and Magic 2011?

  • if more than 50% of your cards are asian its just stupid, well imo

  • @CartmanLandZ Alternatively you can learn some asian languages

  • @CartmanLandZ Agreed. Just showing off, become they memorized every card ever.

  • @CartmanLandZ what's wrong with foreign ? It's a skill tester.

  • @Theiammadmad because magic has been around almost 20 years and has thousands of cards, its bullshit if somebody has a deck that you can only read 10 percent of. if you have a rule dispute you have to go track down another copy of the card.

personally i think if less than half of your deck (excluding basic land) is legible, then is should be illegal.

  • @CobraStyleDevil eh, I don't about that though, but in the case of ruling dispute the owner of the card must have 1 copy that can be read (usually internet)and beside magic community has gotten so big that they have cards in multiple languages. Why couldn't they play with foreign. It's exactly the same card. When I watch this video there are only 2-3 cards that I don't know about.

  • wtf, dude.....NO, not everyone knows what every card does in Magic.

  • @cujobo I think that most people know most of the cards he's got in the deck does, since they are all very 'famous', however, I caan understand why you wouldn't know them if you haven't played that long. :)

  • I like how every card dude said "Everyone knows what this card does" was a card I didn't know, but he sure as hell had to take the time to explain Etched Oracle. This video is garbage. Don't make assumptions, kthx.

  • crib swap ... with the horde, for 5 mana ... remove anyone creature .... i have a multiplayer deck with him, and i have .. a lot of mana . .like 20 ..

  • manabase + baneslayer + goyf, not to mention other expensive cards.... Standard suddenly seems so much cheaper...lol

  • This deck may be alright 1 on 1 but this deck would be terrible multiplayer. I mean my edh play group is all control and resets the board every round of turns with wraths and nev's disks and such. It is just impossible to play aggro in my group.

  • I want to be this guys best friend.

  • My god but this is the most expensive EDH deck ive ever seen...

  • god damn, look at all those special lands they must cost a fortune

  • So can we get a list? 100 cards weren't discussed :S

  • Nevermind, it was all there. I was surprised 34 lands were run with only like 2 mana producing artifacts.

How do you feel about Sol Ring, Mana Vault, etc.?

  • Also, if someone really commits to a deck, a 15 card sideboard is not a bad idea. Any thoughts on cards that would be auto-include against archetypes that tend to wreck beatdown?

  • god that is an expensive deck!

  • can you say dragon master outcast!

  • wad up wit the fuckn jap words

  • @TH3SHIN3ING the foreign cards are used by some of the more stylish folks to pimp out their decks. I am sure not all the cards are Japanese, but most people wish they could build and play an all Japanese deck.

I am in love with foils, but everyone has their favorites!

  • Wow, this deck would house all but two of my decks. I've been running Balthor zombie beatdown for sometime and it's never lost one on one and does really well in multiplayer, so I can attest to the fact that beatdown is definitely viable if built right.

Great deck. Sedraix Specter, however, seems a little... meh...

  • @tonyadpx I also think Sedraxis is not that great, but Jmart is pretty good at the card flipping and the dude is a 2 or 3 for 1. Card advantage is king!

  • I was thinking of making this general. I decided to go with Scion of the Ur-Dragon instead.

  • @NintendoBmaN Horde is pretty hasty and deals combat damage with trample. Trample general beats are pretty great

  • Yeah, but I really wanted to play some huge flying dragons!

  • @NintendoBmaN point taken :)

  • Looks like a 100 card singleton deck with random five color general glued on. Not what I would called well designed, but if you say it's that good. I believe you. You said you had some footage of the deck in play, could you show that?

Nice to see some new vids, keep it up!

  • @genderfail This deck type might be the type of answer a player would run if super blue decks become too prevalent in the local metagame. It can stun you before the slower decks get set up. I tend to play a different style, but this deck is cool. Not busted but viable.

  • I think it's because it differs so much from my own building style. I tend to use my general much, and build around it's abilities. Seems to me the only synergi Horde has in this deck is with chameleon collosus. But hey, if it works you can't complain i guess :)

  • @genderfail the deck offers a different style of play and is interesting. It is a very outstanding choice in 1 v 1

  • jmart as in j martinez of mm forums?

  • Where do you get a foil BB Timetwister?

  • @Bigguyinblack foil beta packs of course :)

  • @ElderDragonHighlandr Or you know... fakes and proxies...

You've spent enough money on the lands for this deck, just buy a real Timetwister.

  • That's what I wanted to know. I don't remember them doing foils until around Tempest block.

  • Isn't that dragon overpowered,if you are able to revive it infinite times?

  • @Bigguyinblack proxy cards you can buy on ebay

  • @Bigguyinblack Peel top layer off of a foil card, then print directly on the card.

  • welcome back! its been a while but its nice to see 2 new videos today.

  • When you said beatdown, I thought you meant you used a lot of big creature, this is more of a weenie/rush/swarm type deck. Also, you should use that video editing skill to maybe throw up translations on the annoying foreign cards everyone seems to like running.

  • awesome foreign cards in that deck!

  • @thegameacademyonline yeah, this deck has some of the better foreign cards that we have ever featured. Hopefully folks will be familiar with all of the cards in the show. If you want further explanation just comment and we will provide further info.

  • good suggestion

  • put survival in it!!! >:O

  • scute mob seems interesting in this deck

  • Thank you Jae-Mart and Elder Dragon Highlander for sharing that sweet aggro deck! Cool cameo by Faddy Josh at the end! EDH is always happening at The Game Academy every Sunday! Come join us!

  • foil timetwister lululululul

  • Thanks for the comments and views. Sometimes when we upload HD videos, they take a while to process and will look blurry at first. Since the decks featured on this channel are designed for the Elder Dragon Highlander format, they are not FNM legal. Keep watching for more! And it's definitely "faddy."

  • Wait so this deck is playable in FNM? I wouldnt think so .

  • Yeah, the picture quality was a bit so-so but the deck looks awesome.

  • @parad0x87 that's cause it's processing!

  • Awesome deck. It looks like it would do well in a one on one match. Also, does that landbase work?

  • This video quality on this one looks really low.. its hard to read the cards (if even possible) The other videos were much more crisp. Also, Faddy or Fatty? Good interview though.

  • @TriAdX video processing!
