I had an HP laptop 6 years ago with great speakers. The last 3 laptops I bought all have awful speakers, Sony, Samsung, Asus. Th Asus is especially bad, when I play games it is hard to make out the speech. Definitely buying one of these soon.
@dayday831 It seems that some of the PC manufacturers are starting to pay more attention to the speakers. Some of the new systems even include a mini sub-woofer. So they are getting better.
@roberge32 It's automatically set by default. However if you want to change it you can do that through Windows 7's audio devices. ("manage audio devices")
@XShadoWPaws Most laptop speakers do suck in comparison to external speakers. Although HP has been pushing forward their Beats by Dre which do enhance laptop audio a bit. Some of HP's latest models do feature very good improvements.
i recently purchased a refurbished h p laptop i am very pleased with the laptop apart from the volume level which even on 100% is to low for me the sound stuff is used samsung would the addition of external speakers improve things maybe something to amplify the volume failing that maybe a trip to a local computer man
Wow my laptop speakers are woeful compared to yours. I think i definitely need a soundbar, the difference it will make to my current speakers will be very significant. Cheers for the review.
@povrick There are many soundbars but I thought the Z305 had excellent form factor. I bet there's even better ones. Laptop speakers usually do not feel like they "fill the room" with sound. The soundbar actually does that which is neat. I have been using it for 3 months now and haven't had problems.
@tobyleetobylee Every once in a while I buy systems, try them out, and then sell them back. With the Z305 I don't see that occurring. I'm happy to not deal with big giant speakers. :)

will it automatically play through logitec when pluged in or do you have to set it up first running windows 7?

@paulboon Sometimes allowing "Loudness Equalization" helps laptops quite a bit. Check /watch?v=AUEG-Y5_ju4

Very nice... I am thinking buying the Logitech Z305 soundbar... to enhance sound when I listen to music etc...

@TheEsotericDesi Yep. I replaced that old system with the little soundbar. It works well enough.
