I`m a reconstructor from Russia. Our organization reconstructed Germany almost on this historical period. The end of the XIV century.
Can you tell me please what organization is on this video, and where are from. I saw this video for long time ago, and now really happy to find it again )))
This is amazing. First the 1350s style armor is magnificent. Second both fighters have clearly trained well and are very skillful. Note how they are using all parts of the sword, how they do not favor one leg over another, and how they use the guard positions properly.
Is there some kind of training that these men had or are they just a bunch of guys thron on some ancient armor and are willing around their swords mindlessly
Sometimes if you have a guy's sword pinned, you can trip him, or put him in an arm lock. It's easier to take out a knight that way because of all the armor.
That looks so fun! How could I participate in such events?

Too much camera movement. I can't watch this, much as I would like to.

is there a reason why you both are wearing a pig-faced salet?
is it the best helmet for some reason or just coincidence?
and did you both strip protection for maneuverability or is that just for the 13th-14th period?
