  • poor girl..whether she did or didn't do it. She has suffered alot. 35 years is far too much. Who do they think they are taking someones life away based on unusual facts. I think they using this as a way to get foreigners(her family & friends) in and out of the country to make more money. Typical barbaric ...they have no culture & thats y they don't value peoples lives.

  • It would be a shame to have to spend over 35 years in a foreign jail or any jail for something that she innocent of, I do think that Bali set pple up. 2 friends of mine went over to that place, a bali man walked up to them in the airport and gestured for them to hold out their hand my friends husband did and the bali man dropped a bag of pot into it, her husband dropped it straight away. They had their apartment ransacked by the balinese police and they left the country soon after.

  • what is being done? is there any more appeals? how is her family affording this? this is not only a drain on them financially, but mentally. the australian government should do something to get her back in their country. i am turned by australia for not doing anything. Shes one of theirs they need to help!.. I am from NY / USA and my prayers are with HER!!

  • escort, I think there are many Aussies out there who support her, but there are a few who have an agenda and they bombard the internet with hateful comments. It doesn't take much... they just set up a few fake account.

  • I wasn't exactly referring to people like you just mentioned. I know there are people who do that kind of thing. The point I'm trying to make is that I've seen negative comments left about her and 9/10 times, they're are from australian people. Not trouble makers, but people such as you and me who simply come on here for our own entertainment. I just can't understand why more then 80% of australians used to support her and now in 2009 more then half the country has turned on her and her family

  • I am envisioning the chant "Saya Tidak Bersalah" being sung by all the rock legends. Names like Paul McCartney, Bono, The Boss, Dylan, Mick and Keith and on and on... That would bring her home for sure !!!

  • what a tragic story this really is god bless you schapelle and your wonderful sister mercedes personally i would not consider crossing any muslim state border with anything other than hand luggage be strong peace and hope

  • BTW the last message was in response to samlightfoot7

  • How much does a boogie board weigh? maybe 10 lbs and the same weight of pot in that bag, wouldn't you shit your pants trying to get that through airport security. Don't get childish on me with IQ rankouts, be logical and controlled here and maybe this constuctive dialogue can continue. Even if shes a major drug runner as alot of detractors seem to think, don't you think her trial was unfair.Seeing with your own eyes and still not believing? IQ isn't the issue.

  • So we are to believe that Schapelle put ten pounds of pot in an unlucked boogie board bag, that probably doubled the weight, and with her name tag on the bag. And then got it through 2 airports before the above board Bali police detected it. Is it possible Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury that the pot was put into the bag. There were motives for that scenario. Schapelle was convicted even though there was much more reasonable doubt than convincing proof. SLAM DUNK NO BRAINER

  • So the fact the bag got through 2 airports is evidence she's not guilty? And you say the bag doubled in weight - are you arguing for or against her, since she would have undoubtedly noticed that increase in weight? I'm still yet to hear a shread of actual evidence - theories on alternative ways the pot could have entered the bag are NOT EVIDENCE. Her time to present evidence has come and gone - and it was all discredited garbage.

  • Great work Tara. You know you're doing something right when these trolls come out of the woodwork! You've threatened their agenda. It's hilarious to see them getting worked up.

You and I, and every other sane, logical person on earth can see that Schapelle is innocent. Why don't you trolls go back to your trashy tabloid TV programs. Your IQ can't handle anything heavier than that!

  • What a pity you couldn't travel to Indonesia with the other "sane, logical" people and present this evidence that would have undoubtedly cleared her. Seems there's an extremely large percentage of insane, illogical people out there - every person I know (including a few hundred QLD police officers) thinks she's guilty as sin. How I wish I could have an IQ like yours - then I'd know what REALLY happened!

  • Great song! Protest Bali and Indonesia in general. Their government are backward-thinking animals! Muslim hell!

  • Great song! Protest Bali - do not visit that third-world hell! backward government - animals!

  • Ive seen both documentries. You must be biased against perhaps because of your close association with the producers. I could probably guess who you are but I couldn't really care less.

How about you make a list of the incriminating stuff and I will get back to you later when I have time. Some people have a job.

  • This is such a fantastic song. Well done tara and everyone else too.

Im so glad Americans can now see the truth too and with the help of this song we can prove to the world that Schapelle is innocent.

Every academic in Australia knows this and when more and more eventually they step up to be counted the media will no longer be able to distract us from the truth.

    Go Tara....

  • Did Schappelle think her boogie board had started a family between Australia and Bali?

Or was the weed there the whole time, and Schappelle thought that 5kg is the standard weight of a boogie board?

Kind of strange, I thought her entire family had been into surfing and other water sports their whole lives. You would be forgiven for assuming that she might know a thing or two about the sport.

  • Hello,

Thank you for your comment. I was just wondering where your getting these facts from? Dont you think its a more weird that if she is in fact apart of a big drug ring, that she would know how to smuggle it better.

  • Ok, I'm not sure which of my facts you're referring to, so here goes:

    1. Then and Than, i got this from a) My family, b) Primary school and c) The dictionary.

    2. The part about the documentary, I got that from the documentary (real footage, not someone talking about the past).

    3. The size of 4kg of marijuana, personally I actually have never seen 4kg of marijuana outside of TV. I have however, seen much smaller amounts which are still large and then there's the footage on the documentary too.

  • I appreciate your sense of humor

    #1 was pretty funny

#2 I saw the documentary twice, I dont recall that part but I did order it so I will have another look

#3 She never claimed ownership of the marijuana she took ownership of the board bag so it doesnt matter how much it actually is it wasnt hers

Hope your having a good day!

  • Ahhh, I see Tara.

Then your faith in Schappelle, and everyone else in the USA who has faith in Schappelle, is probably only because the USA didn't see the full documentary.

I've just read that the documentary was broadcast in the USA first. Then they made a longer version with more footage. They broadcast that in Australia either last year or this year.

    Very incriminating stuff.

  • Oh, I missed one of your questions.

Corbys are from Queensland - Known for it's pot smoking, beer drinking, street racing and surfing (and people generally being a bit dumb). Sorry people from QLD, but that's just how we see you.

The convicted drug dealer/grower was from South Australia - Known for it's pot smoking, hip hop artists, Churches and serial killings.

Heard the joke "Why do Australians name their beer with 4 X's? Because Australians can't spell beer" That beer is from Queensland.

  • I'm sorry Tara, is that supposed to be evidence? I'd be sacking any lawyer that was running with that argument as a defence. The only actual "evidence" introduced was either hearsay or fairytale "I know who really did it" comments from people with extremely low levels of credibility - most of which was proven to be concocted garbage some time later. Let it go - save your fight for someone that is TRULY hard done by. If you haven't noticed, the world is full of them.

  • Schapelle checked in her boogie board at Brisbane airport. The checkout staff testified in court that there was nothing unusual about the bag. A HEAVY boogie board bag would have seemed suspicious to airport staff in the middle of a terrorism alert. No? Schapelle didn't carry her bag to the counter at Bali. Her bro dragged it with his luggage. When they got to the customs counter it was too late.

Answer this: Why was CCTV footage "lost" from every airport Schapelle travelled through?

  • I don't understand why so many people stick up for this girl. And I don't understand why Amricans can't work out the difference between THEN and THAN.

I loved the part of the documentary where the convicted drug dealer/grower talks to the Corbys about 'organising some smoke' while they're standing outside Schappelle's prison.

Does anyone who sticks up for Schappelle have any idea just how large 4kg of marijuana is?

Even if vacuum sealed, it's still a very large amount.

  • Tara, Australia cannot just enforce its will onto another country, they have their own laws. We are NOT the USA.

I did like your song though, keep up the good work.

  • If shes guilty than why didnt they give her a fair trial?People need to realize why they were so angry when the news first broke, than realize how much effort Aussie government has put into trashing her and her families name.COVER UP MUCH!! I will continue to stand up for what I believe in even if Im standing alone.

  • I want to take this time to thank everyone who commented the song. I donot take anything to heart on account of the fact that you dont personally know me. What happened to Schapelle was unfair drug smuggler or not,Schapelle Corby was stripped of her basic human rights, the right to equal treatment under the law, including the right to a fair trial, and to the presumption of innocent until proven guilty, and therefore should be set free on account of a mistrail.Indonesia is apart of the UN.

  • people who think other people should have their lives ruined because of weed deserve to be executed.

  • She might be guilty she might not but MAN 20 years is way over the top don't you think????

  • she is as guilty as all fuck dont look at her big puppy dog eyes and go ahh she didnt do it shes a fucking drug adicted dope dealer she knew exactly what she was doing and so did the federal police her story and the bali nine was set up in order to make a scape goat out of them her family is fucked as well fukin ferrel bastards you have all been had by this farce ,but then again she doesnt deserve ten years for weed maybe only 9

  • What else was the Government supposed to do? They went over and above their responsibilities to an Oz citizen. She was also afforded EVERY legal right she had in the country she committed the offence in - a LOT more than most of their own citizens. What should the government have done - send the SAS in to extract her? The ONLY reason anybody gets emotional about her is she's a young woman who cried her eyes out. Where's the song for Van Nguyen, Oz citizen hung in Singapore for a similar offence?

  • hmmm, how much research did you put into this song?

"She gets no help from the government down under"

The Aussies offered Queen's Counsel and to DNA test the bag which she and her family refused.

Saya Tidak is completely mis-pronounced also.

Anyway hats off to you for getting such publicly but perhaps do some more research and probably pick someone that actually needs your support more.

  • I think this is a riveting tune that sums up the whole story. Where is the proof of the allegations about the family involved in drug smuggling. Is it just the words of that macauley gent. Where is proof, is there any?

  • OOH Babe she is guily

She got a fair trial her family has been involved with drugs for a long time and she needs to be responsible for her own actions

Do not waste your time and talent on a convicted drug smuggler

  • If shes guilty than why didnt they give her a fair trial?People need to realize why they were so angry when the news first broke, than realize how much effort Aussie government has put into trashing her and her families name.COVER UP MUCH!! I will continue to stand up for what I believe in even if Im standing alone.

  • Because Indo Law is Indo law full stop

people who travel must obey the bloody Laws of other Countrys or pay the price

    and she is...

  • They don't have an innocent until proven guilty law in Indonesia. They have guilty until proven innocent in this situation. Not every country has the same laws. Run the risk, you pay the price. Guilty.

  • Amazing amount of support out there for a convicted drug trafficker who's entire family has been neck-deep in the drug trade for countless years. Just as well she wasn't a 40 year old Asian male - far less marketable, and I'm sure there'd be much less misguided slop like this being written about him. And one day I hope to see some of this "evidence" of her innocence people keep talking about. Pathetic.

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME How the Hell Can the THEAGE" Newspaper pick this up as a bloody story on the front cover on their Stupid online Website ??? Very Poor journalism..

  • um political messages aside. its 'sigh-ah' not 'say-a' .

  • An American musician has gained notoriety after penning a political song about convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby

    ----------------

Hahahaha sorry but 650 views don't call for "The Age "to say its gained NOTORIETY now thats a JOKE.

  • She was Guilty as SIN ,She don't deserve to rot in a hell hole

    But she is GUILTY.

  • Tacky song by an American who needs to do more research before weighing in on a debate that has been done to death in Australia. What do you mean "she will miss out on the best years of her life unless something is done"? You mean unless more people write crap songs or something?

  • An American musician has gained notoriety after penning a political song about convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby...Quote from The Age" newspaper in Melbourne

One Subscriber and 650 Views What a Joke that is

    now thats bored TheAge Worker.lol

  • And what songs have you written lately? Listening to the top songs on the billboards doesn't make you a music critic. The song is beautiful and has a powerful message. Try getting half the talent Tara has and then you can be that critical.

  • Sister owns a surf shop in Kuta, so she takes a K-mart boogie board on an international flight there. That's not suspect AT ALL!

  • this is to trouper3 this is the whole point you werent there with him and you werent there with her so why presume innocence on one and not the other.

  • I didn't mention Schapelle, wayne - I was responding to your comment about David Hicks. I think it is totally wrong for either of them to be incarcerated.

  • David Hicks now that was Shocking mate.

  • because with one we got the evidence, and with the other we were told nothing.

  • and what about our famous terrorist david hicks look how much support he got and get's still to this day hes been given back his freedom his family and he was across in another country trying to kill innocent people.

  • Get your facts right, wayne - he didn't try and kill anyone and was incarcerated for six years without being charged and was abandoned by the Australian Government. At least the Brits got all their citizens out of that hell hole very early one. But Howard had to support his buddy, George W.

  • schapelle should be brought home now its time our government stops indonesia from dictating to us we assist this country in so many ways and they cant even let schapelle come back home she is innocent why cant we support her i see less outrage over sick pedophiles everything has been taken from her her family her freedom come on indonesia let her come home you have proved your point in australia we have media who pay real drug lords for their stories and treat them like celebrities

  • I have not been to Bali since this happened, The Authorities in Indonesia are as corrupt as hell, obviously someone forgot to pay the right person the bride money. It is funny that the Indonesian Authoroties have bitten one of the hands that feeds it..

  • She may have smuggled the herbal jazz, she may not have. I don't care. Alcohol and tobacco are legal drugs killing millions worldwide each year.

The world is full of narrow minded morons and if you believe Shappelle should be locked up for that amount of time you're one of them.

Time to take a good hard look in the mirror, then go join Jesus, Allah or whatever your imaginary friends names are, you evil a*******.

  • she is guilty.

  • Awesome - a nobody singing a song about a nobody. Whats next - 'Shappelle the Movie' with Lindsay Lohan. White trash playing white trash. I can hear the cash resgisters singing louder than this ordinary effort.

  • Crap song and Corby is a guilty dumb westie yobbo like the rest of her drugo family.

  • come on get her out of there and back to OZ cant wait to see her centrefold in one of the mans mags shes to good a sort to be wasting away in a stinking bali prison

  • if you think she's innocent you've got rocks in your head. shit song too!

  • facepalm.jpg

  • a story on this song was in the paper this morning :D

  • lol i heard about this from the papers too!

  • She should not have tried to smuggle the drugs she deserves the time do the the crime do the time in my books. I dont think the australian Goverment is at fault at all in this case

  • Cool song. She is in jail for smuggling drugs into a country, she deserves to be locked up as well. She's as guilty as sin, and by just looking at the rest of her family you can see what they are like.

  • another stupid american who knows jack shit but writes or sings about it

  • Oh shes guilty alright!! you all know it but are blinded by her drama performance, let her rot in jail!!!!

  • great song!

  • omg tara QUESS WHO! hahaha i love you, you're so talented <3 this song is great and i want to see you perform it somewhere so you have to let me know what the dilly is lovemuffin!

  • Thank you for this beautiful song Tara! You are very talented and Schapelle needs all of our support! It's very tragic how the tabloid press has twisted stories into lies. Kudos for not walking away. Free Schapelle Corby, now!
