  • I know the german verson o this song

  • wait, the SASR used this as their march song??

  • @Raymond0412Tube yes they do and have for many years.

  • Diana was a delightful woman and a real class act. Steffy, Jessie and Shelly, if you young ladies see this, I miss ya! - Gretyl (little Toni D from down the block)

  • Is this for real?

  • Great old song! reminds me of my gradeschool days, learning it in music class..

  • I love this song yet I wanted to look it up because I wanted to hear what it actually sounded when my book I am reading right now The Man In The Woods a horror fiction book and the main girl hears the psychopath whistling this song while hiding.

Plus I think I have heard this version in an old old old commercial and movie.

  • Ah! This is how it sounds in my head. Thanks!

  • I loved Diana Decker. I have this very record in my collection -10" shellac.

Norrie Paramor's accompaniment provided just the right flavour to complement Diana's light, happy voice.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • We need more voices like hers. Lady Gaga just doesn't cut it.

  • original version is by Obernkirchen Children's Choir

titled "Mein Vater war ein Wandersmann"

  • never knew falderie faldera was an international thing.

  • Neat song, by a singer nobody knows. I won't post a cover, I can't touch this song. this woman has it. neat voice, the kind that melts my heart, and whatever good sense I have. my wife has this kind of voice, but is not musical. anything else by Diana Decker you might have, post it.
