Just, just, just watching this makes me absolutely feel for John and all he's discovering. He seems like such a compassionate, hard-working, expressive and lovely person with strong morals.
what if, during the bit where they show him a bunch of guys and he has to guess which are gay and which are straight, they included some that were neither? (like bi, asexual, etc.)
@pennypyro42 It would have been interesting to see if he could pick out of a line of of 10 men (there's a twist here) - 2 straight, 2 gay, 2 bi, 2 asexual and 2 FTM transgender (that way there's an even spread of 5 'types' with 2 a piece. or bump it up to 12 and 3 a piece if leaving out TG). see how well that 'gaydar' works basing off social preconsumptions when it's more than just the biased gay/straight-male/female binary that's been shoved down our throats by society.

The part 2 and 3 is uploaded months now, but for a reason I dont know it is not visible to youtube users. Maybe because of a copyright reasons they have blocked a part of documentary so a user can have a small taste of it and go buy the rest I suppose.
Asking why someone is gay is just like asking why is someone straight. It is social pressure that make gay people feel like there is something wrong with them. It's people and their narrow perception of the way things and people should be that hurts us all. I do love John Barrowman, and respect the fact that he has always been open about being gay. We need more people like him. We have enough people that hide in the closet and deny who they are.
@Alien5p Because it's a face we see on the telly all the time, people feel like it's someone they know to an extent and can connect with instead of some random stranger to whom they have no emotional ties. John Barrowman has a huge fanbase both in the UK and abroad that genuinely respect him and will be interested in what he has to say. Just a team of scientists wouldn't hold the attention of the average person.
that researcher's face at 13:22 "this one doesn't need a test ..." :D

Evidently witchcraft was legal in England before homosexuality was (and it should be legal, as it's some people's religion.)

God, couldn't they have gotten anyone other than John Barrowman to do this?
Why does it always have to be a celebrity, too. The documentary would of been much better if it was just scientists.
