  • u should have gotten a bigger tank ,i guess that's the reason [same thing happened to mine ]

  • Tank too small for a fish that size! Maybe if it was 5 inch then yeah, but once it get 8" plus you should move it.

    =

  • beautiful! amazing to see one so massive. just added one to the tank, hoping to see a monster one day.

  • what was the exact name of the fish?

  • Im not surprised he died. Far too many fish in that tank to be happy! Not good and very cruel!

  • Mine killed itself and all the other fish by kicking water out the tank onto a power adapter.. and no fish shop will take one that big lol

  • that tank looks waaaaaay too small for that gourami alone.

  • damn that's a huge gourami !!

  • he lived for years and grew to get that size so he must have been happy! people need to stop hating on how many fish u can put in a tank. geezz get a life and cheer up, its not ur tank.

  • Can u guys look at my video and comment and give me suggestions on my tank please and thank u

  • Poor guy :(

  • youtube needs to get a life! get off the internet, telling people what they are doing wrong and making them feel bad, not that this person here with the fish is not already sad, and go outside and play with ur dog. if u dont have a dog play with the air, that would be worth your time more than what you are doing now!

  • youtube is impressive -- so many people who search around solely to tell other people what they are doing/did wrong

fish lived for 3 years, obviously wasn't that ill-kept

  • @Z0MB1EMESSIAH i totally agree with you! the fish looks fine and happy to me!

  • he died unexpectedly??? with all those fish in that small tank i dont see how he lived at all, with that size of fish you should at LEAST have a 100 gallon tank!!!...... not to mention all the other fish in it....... you need to find a hobbie, other than abusing fish! you need to get another aquarium or upgrade to the right size tank, talk to your local pet store about it, i had 2 pictus catfish, a kissing gourami, and a snail and petsmart said that was pushing it in my ten gallon tank.

  • So cruel to keep him in such a small tank

  • It died? No wonder. The tank is way too small and very likely underfiltered...

  • did you flush him? haha just kidding, sorry

  • did you eat it?

  • you shoud live in a toilett chamber at least 1 week... to see how he felt...

    3 years?...too much...

  • you overfed him

  • TOO CROWDED :)

  • i think i know why it's dead! along with many other comments!

  • you are a friggin tool .. unless you have a 600 gallon sump behind there . Im surprised anything in that small tank is alive ..

  • why exactly didn't you expect it? go to it's grave and apologize for keeping it in such cramped quarters.

  • 1 Blood pigeon, 1 Huge Pleco, 2 Huge Clown Loaches, 1 Huge FlowerHorn and to top that 1 Huge GG. No wonder it died, you deserve to be 'devasted'

  • dumbass the tanks way to small too many fish in the tank to

  • dumbass the tanks way to small

  • ya i have a pretty big one - hes almost 3 to :)

  • we get the tank is too fucking small u dipshits, quit repeating it

  • @GoPlayMW2OrSomething

    hahahahha

  • @Purpleierdo ecological disaster

  • @Purpleierdo exactly!!

  • Sorry to say but when a fish is kept in a tank too small it may appear to stop growing, at least outwardly, though it's organs will continue to grow and cause a premature death.

  • yeah the tank was WAY too small for him.. poor thing.

  • to smaal , ass

  • sorry to say this...but it could have died because of the tank you put him in....too small

  • sorry for the loss i had a true world record gourami measured 3 ft long and i had it for 29 years i called him big boy and he was in a 1000 gallon tank with a couple of red tail catfish and common carp. big boy was amazing r.i.p. :(

  • so sad man i hear yah my electric blue jack just died last night so unexptected i dont understand he was actually swimming everywhere went on a fish hunt picked up some more jewels came home thirthy minutes later he died i held him in his last breath

  • lol my giant gourami is like 19 years now its one year older than me should i call him uncle!!!LOL

  • poor fish no wonder it died that tank is tiny!!!!!!

  • sorry for ur loss, he looks as if he has his own personality

  • WOW...can u say...over population!

  • he died cause he was toooooooooo big

  • how long does it take for it to grow?

  • Lolz mine was 6 yrs when it died but it was an opaline and ur's is at least 20 times bigger.

  • you should be glad that you have those clown loachs,if i found one i would sneek out with my perents money and buy as fast as cherry shrimp could breed.

  • I know this video is really old, but where did you purchase a Giant Gourami? Do they even sell these in fish stores?

  • how big is your tank?

  • HUGE!! Still cute. RIP

  • how did you get it so big when the tank is so small

or did you just buy it like this?

  • All those fish are too big to be squished in there together. What did you do with it?

  • unexpected? look at the tank, im sorry but thats wayyyyyyy to small, its like you living in a shoebox, nice fish tho, well was

  • too small of a tank. to bad.

  • Too bad.

  • nice tank, i love parrot fish, i gunna get some soon for my tank,

  • SO CUTE!

  • those r good eatn

  • how big was it when you first got it? last week I bought a few gouramis that are just under an inch and a half

  • whoa dude, that tank is too small 4 that fish!

  • WAAAAAaaayyyy toooo small of a tank

  • I know this vid was posted some time ago but I wanted to tell you how pretty he was...awesome tank and I cannot wait until I get a house of my own so I can have a large tank like that! Awesome job in up keep

  • TOOO SMALL OF TANK.

  • hate to be a downer but i think it died because of the small size of the tank. =\

  • yeah that might of been the issue. i have gold and blue gouramis.. hope they dont get that big lol

  • they will.

  • Isn't this tank too small for this fish?

  • what did you do to the dead fish eat it or bury it

  • imagine flushing that down the toilet

  • who would you eat your dead fish?!?!? I mean you buy it at the grocery store but you don't just keep fish so that when it dies you eat it!

  • i feel sorry for your loss...that was a pretty amazing and gentle fish

  • sorry for the loss. it looked like it was too big for that tank to be honest

  • can they grow so much?

  • that is the most beutifal giant gourami i have ever seen. Im sorry for your loss

  • is it a kind of african cychlid?

you have a beautiful tank. really amazing.

  • where did you burry it .

  • is that how big they get??? wow i have 2 and if they get that big they won't fit in my tank. sorry for the loss

  • sorry for the loss i kno how it fells 15 of my koi thatwerelike 1 and a half feet past like a month ago. and i will feel the same when mine 3 that are like 4-5inches bigger dies

  • thats sad

  • probably died of claustrophobia xD

    Sorry it died though :(

  • @Sean117Ply OMG U FKER LOL THAT HALRIOUS LOL DEATH BY claustrophibia lol

  • wth

  • that is the biggest giant gourami i've ever seen.. thanks.

  • he's pretty cool. Nice size. Sorry for the loss

  • you would need a giant toilet to flush that thing

  • or a grill

  • lol

  • He was pretty!!!!!! Sorry for your loss!

  • where my parents come from, we take the gourami fish and make a fish paste that tastes good

  • those poor poor fish.i feel so sorry for them. how cruel

  • you need a bigger tank! i am feeling so sorry for all those fish in that little tank.

  • a 125 gallon is big enough btw

  • im surprised the pleco dosnt clean the gourami lol

  • wowee wow wow

  • remove the rocks !!! no wonder it died. theres no space to swim because of the rocks. i understand its a 125 gallon but with those rocks, its like a 70g or something. with all those fishes swimming, the tank is even smaller.

  • The tank is tooooooo small for such a big gourami. No wonder it died:[

  • That is a nice life for gourami's. Last time I checked gourami live for 2-4 years in captivity.

  • 2-4 years are you having a laff that gourami wouldent be fully grown by 4 years they can prob live for about 20 if not more with propper care and a tank big enuf its not ur average spotted gourami from wallmart lol

  • Sorry, I wasn't aware that giant gourami live longer than the smaller ones. I bought a red honey gourami from my LFS and it lived 5 years, the manager said they usually live 2-4.

    Sorry, once again.

  • thats definitely dinner for two!

  • BIGGER TANK, NOOB!

  • how big is the tank?

  • no wounder it died thats a tiny tank, not big enough for the gourami let alone all the others. id start thinking a bit about the fish mate.

  • how big was your tank? please respond

  • overstocked...

    but whateva...

  • damn those are some big clown loaches!

  • kinda crowded but better than the last video i watched

  • even though is 200 gallon still kinda look overcrowd esspecially for a fish that size. but you should have gotten some good live plants for him.

  • That thing should be in there by itself it probably suffocated

  • buy a bigger tank

  • this tank 540L

  • @slickmilo no way mine 250L and its only 4ftx18inx18in

  • Why do you think it died "unexpectly" Because the tank is to small!!! An it´s too crowded.

  • I'd say the tank would not of been too crowded without the giant gourami.

    Nice CL's

  • you asshole, your tank is way too small and over crowded. And you wonder why your gourami died.

You are a disgrace to all fish owners.

  • Yep. I don't understand why people want to cram a huge fish into a tiny space.

  • kyaumae take it easy will ya?

its rather you whos a asshole!

    your comments are so stupid!

  • how am i am asshole? i worked at the local aquarium for two years as a volunteer. I know for a fact that gourami fish love lots of space. Hell I have two at home in two different tanks.I have a blue gourami 1 1/2 inch by 1 inch in a 25 gallon tank and a moonlight gourami in a 10 gallon by itself(she ate the other fish) . some People are passionate about fish so deal with it and i am one of them. Gourami aren't like betta fish they like open bodys of water instead of puddles.

  • Also my comment to the asshole that flushed their gourami for eating the other fish is meant to sound stupid because its retarded to punish a fish for something that's apart of its nature.

So Tommy boy, don't assume someone is an asshole just because they are passionate, because you'll run into more of them through your life if that's how you view others. Opinions are like assholes everyone has one and they all stink. and my opinion is so do you.

  • nice fishies but that tank is way overcrowded...looks like an aquatic ammonia factory with all of those large fish cramped in that one tank, probably stresses the fish out too, not to mention the oxygen supply-even with an air rock set up that's still an awful lot of respiration and fish shitting going on in one cramped space.

  • buy a 100+gallon tank so it will be ok

  • Thats a 125 gallon dumbass.

  • the tank is way too small

  • woww really over stocked but nice gourami..reminds me of what mine looks like..lol

  • they should put u in a shoebox to live. do u know anything about animals ? read some books before u torture a fish.

  • can you keep that with neon tetras or mosquito fish

  • tank was to small for even one giant gourmi

  • it looks overcrowded....

  • man i have most of this fish, i only didn't have the gourami and the black spotted fish, but sadly my fish died after 7 years =(.

  • giant guorami looks cool in an aquarium especially if they grow their full size,,,..nice to feed them coz they eat so much

  • hi mate thing it grow about 65cm to 80cm

  • What size do those giant gouramis max at? (getting one this weekend :D) Nice clown by the way!

  • What size was your Giant Gourami???

  • hi mate it was about 60cm

  • giant gourami in an aquarium?

hahaha i ate so many gourami.

  • GEE I WONDER WHY

  • also, gouramis are my favourite species. im going to have a 65L tank full of 'em.

    Once again, R.I.P.

  • you sohuld only have one gourami for a tank

  • aww... wait do u mean giant gourmais od normal ones? i want little blue dwarfs and honey gouramis

  • that fish is so cool. R.I.P. Mr. GIANT gourami

  • sorry about your fish....and all the comments below me you can tell are from heartless people...the fish seemed fine with the size of the tank...altho a bigger one wouldve been better...

  • oh......I know how it feels to have a fishy die.........i've had 3 within the past 2 years.

  • wow thats a little time u had it i had mine 4 10 year so far lol=p

  • 2 things: tank is too small for the fish...and tank is overcrowded. That giant gouramy is still small though..we breed that fish for human consumption in the philippines and in the wild can grew up to 1 meter long

  • lol its not the too much going on its the size of the tank....it would be like locking you in a room u could take two steps forward in and one side to side, I think you would die eventually of boredom.

  • That's the stupidest thing I've heard in a while. Tell us more. Do you keep bettas in cups, too?

  • i know.. like i said in my past comment the fish was way too big for that tank... and then he wondered why it dies... the "bettas in cup" comment it exactly how i see this... poor fish

  • cool Giant Gourami sorry that its dead and oi u hhgusaal fucking leave tom alone

  • guys i think its pretty hard 2 find a tank big enough. first of all i no in my hose at least, not even a tank that big would fit in my house and second, he looks fine. and w/ the whole betta thing, theyre better in small spaces. if u put em in a big tank they stay in a corner anyways. but also, if she had the fish 4 3 years, it cant b 2 upset w/ the size

  • Love the giant gourami and the look/stock in your tank. Sorry about loosing him, he was the center piece.

  • you fish tank is awesome i love it

  • Your clown loaches are pretty big aswell. Well big for clown loaches anyway.

  • it died because it was too big for that tank and there were too many fish and too many decorations. Next time try a plain tank with just gravel and that one fish.. too much going on stresses it out and they die

  • You're right. That tank was way too small for that fish.

  • damn straight. too bad people don't research their pets before buying them..much less the pets home.

  • So mow much did that thing way?

  • what do you do with a dead fish that big

  • i like the pleco the most. lol.

    giant gouramis are ugggly.

    sorry bout your fishie though.

  • very nice fish sad for your loss...

  • it needs more room..

  • Sorry to hear about, your fish he/she was beautiful.

  • Your tank is too small for that Gourami. I think it died 'cause of stress.

  • blah blah blah give them space and they'll punch through 20mm glass...i personally know an owner with a fairly large gourami in a 3x3x2.5 and its a very healthy and happy fish on display in his aquarium supplies store. :)

  • I swear I haven't seen a giant gourami as big as this. Are giant gouramis original or were they bred to be giants???

  • wolfie ur faggot most aquarium shops dont know shit about fish nerd

  • It won't be for long.

  • wow thats cruel, this tank is way to small. u need a much much bigger tank for the gourami alone, not to mention the gross overstocking

  • what size tank? also what filtration you running? nice fish!

  • tank is 5ft2ft2ft i am running mini reef .

  • wow what I have to say,it's great tank, very interesting and nice to watch but this gourami has too little space
