I belive we all have the answers we seek already within us. But not being true to yourself you look else where. I still read the bible and have come to my conclusion that the holy spirit is understanding. I love your videos and will mos def return for more.
Instead of cutting off an ounce of one's body, cut out the ego.
One of the most difficult amputations for the ego is not loving women (or femininity in oneself). Jed enjoyed conversations with women, seeming to want their praise, so can he really speak of spiritual warfare?
'Sleep and food reduced to bare minimum', does he see the real distinction between the ego and the bodies functions?
Still, the point of amputating a piece of ur body illustrates the idea of the ego's fear of mortality, and thus goes back to his point about being uncomfortable enough to want to journey towards what is true.
Also, i like that he hinted that u shouldnt expect to sit under a tree and just 'poof' become enlightened, however....
(contd) However, surely one can be aware of ones spiritual dimension and not be taken in awe by the supposed existence of oneself as something inherently existing and unchanging, it's almost as if he is saying that one need not do anything at all, that it's all a lie, rather than recognizing such things as useful tools, but nothing more.
Also, the further you get, the less is there 'undurable mental odds' weighing you down.
I hope I did not cloud things up with my 3 posts. I wonder how you got that information Kelly, did you read his book(s)?
It seems to me like he's saying its all meaningless, and it's all a lie. That's all there is, it seems. What does he have to say besides that? Is there more to the story here? He seems like an interesting case to analyze. Theres good points, and yet, it feels like instead of seeing the nature of existence, he's just focused on the 'lie', denying existence....
Essentially, what you're saying is this, if i can illustrate properly: he says that everything is false, but is unable to take the step that recognizes the very words that he speaks ultimately don't exist on their own either, as if he is still prone to holding onto one branch, rather than seeing the illusory nature of all branches(i like the monkey and the branches analogy from kevin). With that said, I just heard about Jed, and i don't know him that well.
What good does being enlightened do? How does it do anyone or anything any good? What is the point?

@hemanishable Quote from video: "Waking up is kind of dumb. There's no point. It's not merely pointless. It's pointlessness."

Dear AhabCaptn
your last Tribute (Nuke Your Life) is because of copyright infringement ( music of WMG and Sony) no longer available.
Any ideas?!
I like your series.
Thx

@AndersSchlander0 You say "instead of seeing the nature of existence, he's just focused on the 'lie'"
It's a noble method, so long as one can also deconstruct one's deconstructing.
I'm a little concerned that Jed doesn't do that.
