Yes, it is hilarious. I decided to just get a PS3. I just got it and it runs great and looks just as good as a Ati Radeon 5870, which is far better that a GTX 260m.

Then I would have to ship it back to best buy. then wait another week to get my money back. then buy the G51J. so i would have to wait like a month and a half the get the G51

Considering you're posting this on all the g51j videos I think you better just get the G51J, in relation to your questions, the g72 will be cooler, the g51 will work better with games, who knows which will last longer it's just come out, get the 3 year extended warranty if its such a big issue.

Hmm. So the CPU heatpipe was doubled up--since there's no northbridge anymore. Wished they had doubled up on the GPU, too, since that's the sucker that really brings the heat on this machine.
At least this would indicate Asus is attempting to address heating issue.
supposedly the nvidia 200 series GPU's are more energy efficient and run cooler, is that true? do you think that could be enough to address the heat issue? i had an asus c90s with an nvidia 8600 and it overheated, fried my video card and my motherboard, was hoping this laptop wouldnt have the same problem if it used that GPU instead
