I love Fallout 1 and 2, but this one is... crap. Fallout 3 lost the ambience of the original FALLOUT. This fallout have less characters, you can't be a slaver, less drugs, less weapons, LESS ENDINGS!!! The wasteland is smaller! I'm disappointed :(

@qwanom To be fair, When it was announced that Bethesda would be handling fallout 3, you should've known that it wouldn't be anything like the original in terms of gameplay. However, even though I haven't actually played the original 2 games, I agree that alot of the stuff planned for van buren sounded really interesting. especially the aspect about the second nuclear holocaust at the end of it.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas are like Morrowind and Oblivion. Fallout 3 felt dangerous and scary, you were alone in a hard world of fucked up things. In New Vegas it wasn't that much different than real life because it was a desert with animals in it.

@h4kesi It's not a bad game, it's actually a pretty damn good game. And they did a great job of holding to the lore and setting really. But I do agree that it's not in the same league as the previous two Fallouts. But then there's only a handful of games ever made that are.

@doress111 The animal life within the quarenty of Chernobl is 20% more then outside, and from what i've seen it looks just fine. Maybe that wolf (wolves in plural) was born a bit after the radiation just settled, cuasing it to mutate. But that thing would be dead by now.

@Thefreerunner4evers I'd say only the 3rd reason really is agreeable. The Mojave Wastes were more akin to Fallout 1 and 2. And there were loads of more guns in New Vegas, plus energy weapons and guns are actually more dependent on skill levels. Aside from that in multiple play-throughs of Fallout 3, that intro gets incredibly old and monotonous.

I had 3 characters in new vegas 1 explosives 1 energy and 1 normal guns.
With the normal guns 1 i almost only used railroad rifle.
With the explosives 1 a lot of grenades cause that was the best.
And with the energy 1 a special plasma caster.
And in fallout 3 i had 4 characters and i used a lot of different weapons from submachine guns to shotgun and also energy and exposives and you had good melee in fallout 3

New Vegas is gonna be awesome. You can make a Full Auto Grenade Machine gun with a high fire rate and put mods on a bunch of different guns. I NEED to get New Vegas. Fallout 3 is already the best game evar.
If you expected that post-apocalyptic world looks like Hawaiji, you were wrong. Plus if you have the PC-version you can download alot of mods which make it look much, much cooler. Changing lightning and adding grass and trees with leaves.

And in fallout 3 i had 4 characters and i used a lot of different weapons from submachine guns to shotgun and also energy and exposives and you had good melee in fallout 3

@steelcarcass16 It's a parallel universe where after the Cold War never ended so tensions between the Communists and America elevated to nuclear warfare. Because of this, military technology escalated (which is why there are plasma weapons and stuff) while civilization never changed. Thus, the world is all retro and 50's 60's ish

It is expected that by around 2030-2040 there will not be nearly enough oil to power let alone civilization today. Nuclear energy is often misconstrued because most people relate it to the atomic bomb, Chernobyl, and now Japan. However, nuclear energy is in fact very fuel efficient, environmentally friendly, and SAFE if properly maintained. I'm working on making this a reality for the future.

New Vegas is gonna be awesome. You can make a Full Auto Grenade Machine gun with a high fire rate and put mods on a bunch of different guns. I NEED to get New Vegas. Fallout 3 is already the best game evar.

If you expected that post-apocalyptic world looks like Hawaiji, you were wrong. Plus if you have the PC-version you can download alot of mods which make it look much, much cooler. Changing lightning and adding grass and trees with leaves.
