Thats pretty impressive. Burried needle going 160(mph). The jap vs v8 arguement is old..( they loose because so much power comes out they can't get it to grab.) BTW put an even bigger tire on this and it will pull 1/4 mile times only heavily modded jap bikes pull

I had a ZX12.. It redlined at 80mph in 1st gear (seriously). 2nd gear would complete a "whoop azz" on any knucklehead who was begging 4 a bad day. 3 - 6 gears just kept the engine noise down to a decent level >:D. I have a ZX14 now (since 2010). Boss Hoss is just the TOP of the LINE for crusiers, AND have a NUT load of hp. It wasnt built to compete with crotch rockets. It is for crusier enthusiast. Both sides need to understand this and stop arguing over nonsense. I throw deuces @ any ryder!

Boss hoss are the most realiable bikes, i saw 10 that had moer than 300,000 miles on the big blocks before the builds at the shop near my house. And they have were better than brand new...

Also makes me laugh at how the bike has the spec written on the console. You can brag about it all you like but its still unrideable junk that will chew up its own gearbox.

@ispitanfart :-) Even an old Velocette` chewed UP - it's gearbox.. (one cold winters day -=- Galloway - NZ) .. when Ole BURT slipped the wrong gear at high speed ... "no_clutch" - it was useless extra weight U see - (or) At least it was --- until the "entire" gearbox disintergrated ?

@ispitanfart The only reason why "Jap" bikes beat these is because eventually any vehicle reaches the point where they have too much HP. These Boss Hoss bike passed that point long ago. They are into the realm of solid rocket booster idiocy. Sure a average super bike will beat these, but if someone figures out a way to get these to hook up, the "Jap" bikes you have a justifiable hardon for wouldn't have a chance. Still I doubt the Boss Hoss's will ever hook up, They are simply too cartoony. LOL

Notice how he was careful NOT to open up the 4bbls on the carb.... only to protect that Nesco transmission. If he was willing to sacrifice the tranny, he would have gotten to that speed in half the time.

Hang in there bosshossclaudio... Tom and Adrian are working hard to find better mods on our transmissions!

@kurohyou07 ? grab something akin to a buldozers semi-shift "hydruastatic" gearbox - tough as bulldung - and parts are a dime a dozen (as any "roadside" construction vehicle "after_hrs" will do ) ;-)
