  • while trying to learn the first kickup, my club always flys off to the far right side doing a horizontal 360. what do i do wrong?

  • yeah same here :(

  • Thank you!! I learned it in a few minutes with this tutorial. Your tutorials are the greatest. Keep it up pls :)

  • can i shake your hand someday? your tutorials help me massively you have no idea im eternally grateful-sam

  • I understand the concept, but I just can't do it! I have fairly cheap single-body clubs, and every time I try, they slip off my feet. They also don't seem long enough for the end of the handle to lock against my leg.

    Any advice?

  • @jacobevelyn

    Same here. *Sigh*

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • thanks, ive wanted to do that for years

  • nice tut chris, hope you make some tutorials about 360's or something with balls and clubs.. I've still got some problems with my 360 with balls

  • Thanks for this tutorial. Your kick-ups look fantastic!

  • verry cool i learnd all of them and i can do a dubble flip using the standerd kickup! tyvm

  • LOL. I thought this was the breaking move. Haha, sorry.

  • yes, ill try.

  • thanks for the tutorial. I can do the basic kick-up with my left foot. but it seems to spin the opposite way with my right. any suggestions?

  • Hmm. Could you tape it and show it?

  • or wait.. never mind. i just got it, lol.

  • @juggleguy000 Nice! dear sergio in the beginning streetlight/catch 22 rules

  • Great Tutorial! I do it slightly different though, instead of including that "lifting straight up" motion, I bring my knee inwards, crossing over to the other side of my body. This is pretty much the same thing, but my way is a bit more exaggerated. I never knew that crossover kick up, thats pretty awsome!

  • Great thoughts!

  • you really provide a service with these videos, its a bit over explained for me, but thats not to say it isn't perfect for someone else, i'm sure i'll get these tricks, thanks for the ideas

  • Thanks again. I respect that "its a bit over explained" part. It's true. On some I am much more long winded than others.

  • great tutorial ! (: i have learn how to do a crossover kick up & stomp in ! thanks (:

  • Cool! Glad this had value to you.

  • You know, go check out jugglingstein-- he said he'd do a tutorial on that topci and he's quite good at them.

  • wow i realy gonna pratice the second one,

    he is so cool xD

  • Many, many thanks. Glad to help.

  • Not ONLY do you deliver on the juggling, but you ALSO chose a great ass song in the intro.

    Huzzah Catch 22.

  • Ha! Thanks.

  • BTW- how DID you know it based on those few notes?!

  • Thankyou, I've been wanting a kick-up tutorial for such a long time. Straight away you showed me what i was doing wrong. Once again, excellent video.

  • Thanks!

  • No problem. I've seen a few requests for pirouettes flying around, that would be awesome too since i decided to just give up on them as i really couldn't grasp it at all.

  • gd tutorial, you think you could do one on pirrrurettes

  • helpful :)

  • i already know how to do these, but it would have been nice to see this before i learned. i really enjoy watching your tutorials. they are very informative, and if it didn't say you were a teacher on your profile already, the tutorials would still make it fairly clear that you are.

thanks for doing what you do =)

  • Compliments to my teaching abilities are kind. Thanks for that.

  • Oh yeah nice tutorial anyway.I'll have to try the cross-over kick-up.

  • Loved it! Thanks!

  • Thanks and I'm glad.

  • I tried the stomp-up once... got a few nice cuts on my face and the club broke in half.

  • Are you serious?

  • Yep... not that suprising really. I found that the handle had a nail sticking out, and the club (Renegade) was in pretty bad shape anyway.

  • A nail to the face! Niiiiiicce. (Ouch)

  • Yes, but only with the standard kickup-- there are some clips of sprinkled throughout other vids I've made. "Show Off Reel 2006 at 5:45ish, and some stuff on "4 club transition study" I think.

  • oh i forgot to ask... are kickups like, really hard to do barefoot? does wearing shoes make any difference while learning kick-ups??

  • Although I agree with bornametalman, I think it is BETTER to learn them with shoes-- 'cause that's how you're most likely going to be dressed when others see it.

  • great tutorial, as always! i tried this for 30min left-footed. no luck... i could probably do it easier with my right foot, but i tweaked my right knee again, it's all sore and swollen, so no rightfoot-kickup practice for me. bummer.

PS i'm dyin' for a good CHOPS tutorial... i'm soooo lost with chops.

  • Chops! I'm on it. I have a gazillion tutorial ideas/requests written down.

  • sweet! i so wish i could do chops. i always accidentally go into mills mess.

  • Yeah, I'm on it. Someone else JUST asked me to do it, too.

  • Awesome, Funny, Informative, YoureAteacherright?IcouldTellFromTheWayYouInstruct, Awesome...

    5 stars!

I'm making a similar video -with balls- and I'll post it as a video response! So check it out and let me know what you think!

  • Thanks! You gunna explain foot catches?

  • yeah, gonna try...

  • Well done, enjoyed that!

  • Haha I was just trying to learn this today at juggling club! I have pretty cheap clubs and that might be why I can't get it...but I'll keep trying!!

  • can you do a double kick up? i can get them both in the air but its sloppy which makes it difficult to go into a cascade.

  • Do you mean two off one foot? I've done that a few times. You have to stack them multiplex style. (Jcrjuggler can get three, maybe even four off one foot. Crazy.)

  • so like with a circus grip then put them on your foot?

  • Exactly.

  • Great video as usual. I can do three almost every time and have done four numerous times also. It's funny that you posted this today because I was out practicing left footed kickups today (with my wrist out of commission right now, I practice left side stuff). Great tutorial!!!

  • Thanks!

  • It's so weird. I really cannot do this with renegades. It works perfectly with henrys delphin every single time, but never ever with renegades. Good tutorial though, maybe I'll try to actually learn this.

  • I've never seen you work with clubs (have I?).

  • awsum tutorial!!

  • Gracias.

  • cool! I'll have to try that last one!

can you PLEASE do a four ball mills mess tutorial??

  • Hey! I have that request! Take it easy ;) I'm going to make it.

  • I really want that tutorial myself! I can't do this. I was going to get at your other request next.

  • Great, then I am safe. I'll try as soon as I can.

  • Thanks. I can't imagine explaining a trick that complicated.

  • What?! You can't do a 4-ball Mill's Mess? It's as easy as: 1. reverse fountain, 2. put one arm under the other and then the other way around, and... 3. repeat! ;) So yeah...I can't do it either. Great video though.
