  • i used to have chestnut blights till i took an arrow to the knee

  • I live in the southwest of the UK. Over twenty years ago I planted a sweet chestnut and an oak. Both did very well until three years ago when they both began to die. Today the chestnut is dead and the oak is not far behind. Any ideas please?

  • There was once a large chestnut in my neighbor's yard, but they cut it down in about 1997 because it was getting in the way.

  • I wasn't able to read all of the messages since they went by so fast. But I'm glad to see that someone on Youtube besides me cares about these trees, I found a groove of shrubbery american chestnut trees once and notified the American Chestnut foundation about it, but since they weren't mature trees that were ready to be pollinated the didn't bother to send someone out to see them. Just figured I'd tell that story incase anyone's interested.

  • Cool. Were they by where you live?

  • if it is on your land or someone's land you know you could cut out the competing trees around them and that should help tremendously with helping them flower if they are competing with other trees for sunlight.

  • If it went so fast why don't you just fucking pause it then you story telling cunt

  • thanks
