  • You are a twelve year old with bad manners young lady.

  • I think the problem is when people are MADE or forced to choose a "race". People can look very similar and have very different ethnic cultures. And those who look different may also have similar cultures. The whole "black/white" is socially made-up as we all clearly see that "black" people don't have black skin, and "white" people don't have white skin. If we "had" to focus on anything, can we just identify people based on their culture and ethnicity? Peace.

  • Ah the 80s..or early 90s. We definitely made a lot of progress. I can understand where these people are coming from. The thing is, they have every right to be angry especially if their family members and their own lives have been this deeply affected by race and oppression. However, I also get what the white audience was saying about taking on the individual responsibility to move on and be a person despite those hardships. I think that the panel just needed a lot of time to think things

  • @lumpymallows through and perhaps they might not ever come to a peaceful conclusion. But one thing is clear, they certainly have the right to be angry and speak out about it.I believe it's gotten us to a better place now.Hopefully they come back to a good place and be able to live in the present as people who can think less of what their skin color is and rather what sort of person they are.Hopefully they'll be able to look at character and kindness and not let others affect their peace anymore.

  • how can 1 black parent and white parent make a Black baby.

  • @mdotty42 - It doesn't. It makes a mixed child, BUT......Historically and generally as a rule due to dominant genes, children with 1 black parent and 1 white parent basically look negro in appearance, and are treated as such.

  • @americanpatriot00 i look more white look at my picture. america is the only contry that beleives in the one drop rule. true fucking fact

  • @GeorgiePorgieOrgie - I have a white father and I look more black Look at MY picture.

  • @americanpatriot00 i am looking at you picture. Your pretty ignorant, im not saying whites are innocent AT ALL. but we live in the NOW we cant change what happen as horriable as it was. YOU are mixed just embraces all your races. Im mixed too and i have a picture up as well. my mother is english and german and my father is Creole. creole=african french native american trinidadian carribbean. i embrace everything that i am. you should too. wtf

  • @GeorgiePorgieOrgie - I'm looking at your picture and it looks like you were stung in the nose by a bumble bee. LOL!

  • @americanpatriot00 and im the 12 year old? Lmao. bleaching their skin, wear different color contacts and fake wigs thats no assimilation?. look at lil kim. she had a music video where she was dissing nicki minaj and her barbie doll that was portraying her was white.. and bitch, look at your messy ass hair, every heard of a fucking comb? greasy monkey

  • @americanpatriot00 In America it is historically correct for a Mixed race child to be considered Black, but in other places around the world especially in the Caribbean and South America they are considered as Mixed race not white or black.

  • @mdotty42 the baby would would be a person of color......

  • @alisonsworldtv Yes but not Black.

  • I swear it sounded like "Don't Stop Til' You Get Enough" at the end.... Anyway, thank you so much for posting this! It was extremely thought provoking and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the comments that this video created.

  • @TheSunIsBlack very true.

  • Great series. thank you.

  • i wonder if she's talking about heather locklear..

  • It's funny how the whitest looking chick on this panel is the most hardcore- "When you come up with some let us know." LOL And that dumb ass comment about 'next time check "American"' when they get a fuckin "American" box put your ass in it.

  • one lady in the audience says, "we should work on some solutions." then one of panelist says, "when you come up with some let us know." lmao that means, sit your ass down and shut up...lol

  • @casualgerm EXACTLY! LMAO

  • times have not changed, tyra did something like this a couple years ago

  • As far as one person's assertion that 99% of mixed race people are that way due to violent acts, NO.

Yes, many African Americans today have European genes due to atrocities committed during slavery, BUT many mixed race people living today, who recognize themselves as mixed race are the products of two people who loved each other and didn't let societal ignorance, bigotry or prejudice stand in their way.

  • Thanks for the upload. I found it disturbing on many levels, but interesting.

I think racism is just as prevalent now as it was when this was made, they've just learned to conceal it better in the RW, and the internet allows them to connect anonymously spreading lies & disinformation without challenge.

If education is the answer then it cuts both ways, knowing the truth of our history, where we came from, who we are, both good and bad.

    (contd.)

  • 2:00 Best line LMAO "When you come up with some you let us know"

Its so true people say these nonsense things to get applause haha

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • I watched all 8 post of this video. Some things have changed since then but not much. Education is the key but first there needs to be some type of faith. Good post.

  • @christaiki - Well when you say "education is the key", what exactly do you mean?

    Education in what area?

  • @americanpatriot00 on humanity , justice & origin! The biggest focus should be on healing!

  • @Sexsess - In a perfect world, the biggest focus is always on healing.

  • @christaiki socially,i would say that there has been massive changes---for instance, interracial dating was a at risk of physical harm period when I was a kid. Now, on the internet white men ask me if i dated black men and was surprised when i said of course---(yes,im visibly black undeniably so). I thought that was one whack question...but then a black man i dated in the same region (southwest) told me their were black women he'd met ion the internet that do not except black men at all.

  • @christaiki kids less biased say in middle class suburbia, the western states----cali especially, socialize, date and buisness network too the social scientists have suceeded there--- presently, the extremist right do a lot of trolling, hate mongering, and propagandizing using sterotypic means... racism is a valuable tool in that. don't see them tea baggers letting that go. Especially when at the same time the economy is being raped by the exploitative rich. Black folks are still to" blame"

  • Very good video I learned a lot I'm a woman of african american puerto rican and portuguese decent I have light skin very latina looking I was always told I'm not black enough for african americans and not latin enough for spanish people so I know where these woman are coming from

  • Google these names to learn about a few very influential people who were part black. Alessandro de Medici, Chevalier de St. Georges, Aleksander Sergeevich Pushkin, General Alexandre Dumas, Alexandre Dumas pere, Alexandre Dumas fils, Bernardino Rivadavia, and Vincente Guerrero.

  • The One Drop Rule (from slavery days) dictated that anyone part black was to be called black, even if they were part white or Native (unless they were an official tribal member). Even after this racist rule became TECHNICALLY obsolete, the idea is still around because old habits in America are hard to break. This is why biracial people are usually still called black.

  • Revelation 1:14

His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.

Yahweh (The Most High) and Yahshua (Jesus) are both what we call today black and if it wasn't important to mention than why has the black people of the bible been rewritten to look white?

  • @ClaudeMichaeldotcom

because his head was white you think he was black? look mate, i'm sure there are countless passages in which jesus is white or black with some kind of awesome power. they're hardly meant to be taken as literal descriptions of his race.

now sure everyone knows that he was probably black or arabic. It's not a big deal for most white people.

  • @waldoman7 Matthew 2:13-15: 13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

QUESTION.. Can you hide a white baby in a black nation? Of course not. It should be a BIG Deal to every nation why? Because the children of Israel must know their true lineage so they can Return to YHWH

  • @ClaudeMichaeldotcom

a decent point, though hardly proof. I don't care enough to debate it though. As for the children of Israel, well being one of them is only relevant in the Jewish religion. The early christians decided to accept all comers. Even if the sons of moses were black that hardly means that ALL modern blacks are descended from that.

As for Egyptians, well doesn't the old testament mention how the jews stood out from them in appearance?

  • @waldoman7 I never debated, that's why I'm using the Scriptures. The children of Israel (the remnant, offspring, seeds) are Very Important Today. They are the ones spoken of in their History book...the Holy Bible. Of course the Egyptians and the Hebrews stood off in Appearance, they were from two different cultures and wore different Apparels. Similar in some features mainly of dark skin. Another history crash course. The name Christianity was used against us as a name of Scorn not of respect.

  • @ClaudeMichaeldotcom

then you've invented your own religion, or if I had to guess this is one of those religions formed in the semi secret black church during slavery in america. Well I don't care for this nonsense about setting one group of humanity above the rest. That's one of the signs of a dangerous cult, and be it god's word or not it's silly if not wrong.

  • @waldoman7 1 Corinthians 1:27-28: 27 But YHWH (God) hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and YHWH (God) hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath YHWH (God) chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

  • @waldoman7 1 Corinthians 1:29-31: 29That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30But of him are ye in Christ Yeshua (Jesus), who of YHWH (God) is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31That, according As It Is Written, He that Glorieth, Let Him Glory in the Lord Yahweh.

  • @waldoman7 We're Anti-Semi and Pro Truth.

  • @ClaudeMichaeldotcom

I am unable to see the relevance of any of those quotes. What is "Anti-Semi"?

  • @waldoman7-- One of the most incredible lies placed upon christians was convincing that Jesus was 'european white'. Hollywood, television, radio & other mass media worldwide are responible for this lie. Am I saying that Jesus was of 'black african' decent? NO!! I am saying that the consistent bombardment over the centuries which includes the Bible, renaissance paintings & scultures, and Hollywood's slanted agenda contributed to manipulating the real truth. Blond hair & blue eyes? C'mon man !!

  • @63weezer perhaps in the days when we weere slaughtering Native American "devil worshipppers" people bought into the propaganda of jesus being white, but no one does these days. in mexico jesus is usually portrayed as hispanic. It's not seen as a big deal. Also the traditional white jesus image has brown hair.

  • @waldoman7--...after reviewing my post, I noticed a couple of grammatical errors. Please excuse them. Postings are permanent. That does not diminish the thrust of my point. : )

  • @waldoman7 Even the scriptures talk about Joseph-Hebrew who shaved his beard off to fit in with the Eyptians so they would not know his true identity. Obviously, he could fit in because of his skin tone. Queen Esther gained favor from the king; the king assistant who plotted to overthrow the Hebrews wasn't able to do so because Queen Esther told the King her true identity and about his assistant plan to destroy her people the Hebrews. Apostle paul was mistaken for an Egyptian. Similar in tone

  • @waldoman7 Moses passed as a Egyptian for about 40 years, his own grandad Pharaoh did not know he was a Hebrew until Moses stood up for the Hebrew slave and killed the Egyptian, Yeshua(Jesus) had to receive a kiss from Judas in order for the captives to know which men was him out of the group of Hebrew Apostles. King David son King Solomon said I'm black but comely (handsome).Yet our history is rewritten in movies and pictures why? to keep the True Children of Israel from knowing their identity.

  • @waldoman7 Moses passed as a Egyptian, his grandad Pharaoh look into his eyes, never knowing he was a Hebrew until Moses stood up for the Hebrew slave and killed the Egyptian, Yeshua(Jesus) had to receive a kiss from Judas in order for the captives to know which men was him out of the group of Hebrew Apostles. King David son King Solomon said I'm black but comely (handsome).Yet our history is rewritten in movies and pictures why? to keep the True Children of Israel from knowing their identity.

  • uhh these big ugly glasses women use to scare me when I was a child when they would come up to me or pass by. #80sfail

  • Oh and I only said 99.9 because the white guy Robin Thicke (who in my opinion is a white Maxwell) had a sister (actress Paula Patton) in his video. Of course his married to her so... Anyway name me five male white, asian, and latino artist who feature sisters as the leading lady in their video. It can't be done.

  • @jesushateswood-- Spot on!! Check out the '.com' dating services. It's the same thing. They show whites, asians & hispanics all dating each other, but ALWAYS a black male with a black female. It was designed that way. They're sending a message-blacks stay with blacks! Whites, asians & hispanics are very conscience of race and the image it brings. It's all over TV and the movies.

  • @63weezer And their are single jews.com, and asian.coms, italian.coms, irish.coms etc, etc, blah, blah. I understand the point you're trying to make but you JUST don't get it.

  • @jesushateswood--I've seen those .coms......I agree! People are forced to make a choice based on restricted parameters. The options are limited. Enter those .coms you listed earlier. Call it multiculturalism or whatever-I would like to have the choice without the overt or subliminal restrictions.

  • Nothing has really changed. As a matter of fact it has gotten worse. One example: hip-hop videos. Most of the videos with Black Male hip-hop artist feature a light-skinned Black female or a non-Black female. White videos, Latino videos, and Asian videos 99.9 percent always have a female that LOOK like the same race as the artist. Since this is a FACT that means whites, asians, and Latinos are quite conscious of race. THEIR OWN.

  • Comment removed

  • Sadly blacks and whites still live in different worlds within our society due to the privilege/oppression dynamic. Rock's point about racism or any "ism" as being inherent to all of our institutions simply went over most people's heads. Many view racism as simply interpersonal experience. This is bias, not racISM. The only answer I'm afraid, is to tear down every American institution and then rebuild them with true equality at their cores. Only then will there be any meaningful change.

  • Well it is now 2011 and the Teaparty crowd continues to demonstrate that racism is alive and well in America.

  • @shjakes - As much as I'd like to pretend that you're wrong, you are not. We can change the year, we can even change the president, but you can't change what's in the hearts and minds of people in which hate was passed down from generation to generation like a family heirloom.

  • @shjakes

oh come on, the Tea party is about religious fanaticism far more than it is racism. I'm from the Deep South mate and i have to tell you than blatant racism is rare. It exists no doubt, but strong enough that people conciously vote based on it? not really. certainly there's no where near enough of those people to form something the size of the Tea Party around. The tea party is a rebellion against a percieved attack on conservative culture in general.

  • I watched all 8 of these videos just to make sure what I type next is some what conclusive...the people in the panel think that every white person is racist holy crap isnt that just another form a prejudice?

  • ITS AMAZING HOW RACE DOES NOT MATTER IN THE OLYMPICS YOU ARE WHAT COUNTRY YOU ARE FROM MAYBE WE SHOULD DROP ALL THE COLOR THING AND IDENTIFY WITH WHAT COUNTRY WE WERE BORN IN ,CAUSE IN THE END THIS IS WHAT WILL MATTER

  • @rinityt53, wow and that too can cause problems. You know why, then we will have xenophobia rampant in our country. Nationalism does cause hatred, violence, and separation. Humans are flawed as simple as that.

  • they shouldve had Jennifer Beals thats one biracial with no blk features! lol.

  • I don't mean to offend anyone..but race to me is nothing more than a categorization. We live in a world that will continuously segregate, hate, and discriminate. This is a harsh truth that is real and will never go away until this world ceases to exist. Doesn't mean the efforts of working toward eliminating those negatives isn't worth it.

  • I like what that one woman said, "If we keep this up, well never have to worry about Iraq or Afghanistan. Next time, check the box that says...AMERICAN"!

  • @soaringsolo - Yeah, nice rhetorical statement, but nothing you can hang your hat on.

  • @americanpatriot00 True but one can hope. Every other race that comes here, changes their identity to white. It doesn't matter if they came from Italy, Russia or Ireland. Even Asians are assimilating into American culture. Blacks continue to separate themselves by calling themselves African Americans. That term only separates us. I AM AN AMERICAN. I've never even been to Africa and don't know for sure if that's my true origin. We could have come from anywhere. We've gotta stop using that term.

  • @soaringsolo - YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!

Q: Have you ever heard of China Town

Q: What about other people born and raised in America who refer to themselves as: Irish American, Italian American, Polish American, Swedish American, Asian American, Greek, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican, or Mexican.

    .

Take inventory of yourself to figure out why people of the likes of you have such a problem with blacks calling themselves African American, and tell me what you come up with. Seriously!

  • @americanpatriot00 - I agree with YOU 100%

There's others besides China Town, there's Little Italy and Greek Town as well. Some people are such racist hypocrites nowadays. The weird part is that they seem oblivious of all the contradicting facts that surrounds them. It's like, do they not know that people are going to bring up all the facts you mentioned? LOL! PEACE!

  • @americanpatriot00 I just told you "what I came up with". Look, I don't want to get into an argument with you about this issue or start being negative and calling names. I'm not an internet troll. I prefer to state my opinion to someone's face. However, since I can not do that in this case, I will try again to state my opinion because it is MY opinion and I am entitled to it.

First off, I AM black and I LOVE my people but our history and culture was stolen from us so we can not say with...

  • @soaringsolo - F.Y.I.

Some blacks refer to themselves as "African American", not all, or even blacks in general, some.

  • @americanpatriot00 ...certainty that we come from Africa. There are dark people in Brazil, Italy and Spain. Have you ever heard of the term "Black Irish"? We are a mix of EVERYTHING. Using terms like German, Asian or Irish, American ( Which by the way is rare-you only hear it on St. Patty's day). These terms only serve 2 divide us. Most blacks calling themselves AFRICAN Ame. were born right here. Many have NEVER been to Africa and outside of Kwanzaa, don't know it's history, customs or culture

  • @soaringsolo - NEWS FLASH!

The term "Black Irish" does not mean blacks who are mixed with Irish. It's commonly used to refer to White Irish American People with dark hair, brown eyes, and medium skin tone; or dark hair, blue or green eyes, and fair skin tone.

    .

Know what you're talking about before you attempt to defend yourself against worldly, knowledgeable people.

  • @Solowizard Well said and I can admit my mistake. However, besides that comment, please tell me in what other way, I am wrong. Let's try to have an intelligent conversation without all the name calling and hatred. What I said was out of love and it's definitely coming from a good place. I don't want to keep up the negativity on youtube , there's enough of that. I am open to your opinion and yes I'll listen and maybe something you say will resonate but again, what else did you not agree with?

  • @soaringsolo What do you mean by; "please tell me in what other way am I wrong" ??

  • @Solowizard THANK YOU!

  • @americanpatriot00 If you were born here then you are AMERICAN period. I am American but I am also BLACK. I have NO problem being called black and again, I luv my people but to say I am Afr/Ame. is a lie. I was born here and I will die here. America, (as flawed as it my be) is my culture. I follow it's customs and it's history. Not Africa. It is my opinion, the term divides us and helps our enemies look for ways to divide and conquer us. I am American and I am BLACK. I am equally proud of both.

  • @soaringsolo why dont u like being callled African american .. thats our cultural roots OUR HISTORY IS AFRICA ... there is no such thing as a black race or a white race .... White americans are called European Americans and we are called African Americans because this is not are ancestors native home ... No one is truly just American not even native americans although they were here first ..they traveled from parts of asia and africa

.... the oldest bones were found in sfrica

  • @109shiane - WRONG! On certain occasions (usually during a holiday of Nationality ), White Americans are either referred to as Italian American, Irish American, Polish American, Greek American etc. but in general, they are simply referred to as American. I've never heard anyone refer to a white person born in America as "European American". lol

  • @americanpatriot00 just because YOU NEvER heard anyone being referred to as European American dosent mean its not true ...Maybe if u did a little research u would know that if u have origins in europe and u are a US citizen then u r European American DUH! FYI I didnt list all the other catagories becuz i was simply making a point .... Like i stated its ok to be called African American Asian american Irish American or what ever .. the point is that its apart of our history ... so i am CORRECT

  • @soaringsolo

amen brother. it is funny to me that we act like "african american" is the politically correct term and should be used instead of black if you want to be sure of avoiding offense. personally i'd find african american more offensive. It denies the culture and identity that blacks have built in america. An African American would be an African immigrant to america.

  • Ok. I gotta ask. I see that this is part 8 of 8 but I feel like am missing piece.. is there any more to it?

  • @Misana - Yeah, the commercials and the scrolling credits. lol

  • really don't think race issues will ever go away and that getting white people change their attitudes will not help. We need to start creating our own culture and our own community and our own self reliance so that black people don't have to keep looking at white people to solve an unsolvable issue. Our own banks, our own schools, our own tv, our own culture, our own radio... not to disclude other races but just to empower our own people. Some might disagree with me but I think Martin Luther

  • @Loudensll - The last time I checked, we were already doing those things, and there's plenty of Black Folks one can point to as an example (both celebrity and non-celebrity, known and unknown). SURE! it'll be Great if every single black person was doing the things you mentioned, but that's just not going to happen. Not even every white person is doing those things. lol

  • "Maybe we should teach our children."

Apparantly that plan didn't work out because people today are just as ate up with prejudice as previous generations.

I can go on Xbox Live or an inernet forum right now and hear "nigger this" and "nigger that.", some of which comes from kids and teens!

So that dumb broad that said "we need to teach our kids" really need to reevaluate her plan.

  • I remember watching this show when it was on TV originally!!!

OH and one woman said something about "IRAQ blowing us up..." I forgot how long we have been dealing with terrorists!

    Check American!

  • @FriendscallmeLouLou -AMEN!!!

  • Just like Sex sells......Racism also sells just as much.....and people love it.

  • @Venusstar22 - ON YOUR STATEMENT,

"Just like Sex sells......Racism also sells just as much.....and people love it."

    .

    I SAY,

That sounds great for the movies, but the reality is NO ONE NEEDS TO SELL RACISM. It's dished out for free every day, but it may seem hard to pinpoint if you happen to lack a certain color(s).

  • racism was created and now Hollywood and the media are MAKING SURE it stays. The world may want the racism to stop, but because we depend so HEAVILY on the Media (especially the Entertainment media) rest assured we will be viewing images of blatant racism in our faces until we have become DESENSITIZED that we are viewing racism on our TV and computer screens. It's what the media WANTS. or else what will they have to report or base "interesting" "controversial" issues off off. RACISM MAKES MONEY.

  • @Venusstar22 - Something tells me that only people like you can become desensitized to racism, because it doesn't affect you the same way it affects others. Apparently, you belong to the group with the track record of dishing it out rather than take it and have it affect your life.

  • @americanpatriot00 Well, regardless of how you might feel...i still stand by my statement.....Racism will never die because human beings support it (whether they know it or not)....It sells just as much as sex because alot of people love to laugh at the stereotypes portrayed in the Media and they stupidly buy into them and start believing them and relate it to reality. It is a never-ending cycle because humans love to support it. It's an interesting topic and we all LOVE to keep it alive.

  • I actually remember this episode, I watched in while on the phone with my best friend. It's interesting to watch it as adult, with a less idealistic perspective. Over 20 years later and we are still grappling with the same issue.

  • I think it's interesting that the woman mentioned Iraq and about being American aka Patriotism which was used alot during Bush jr's tenure. Somethings haven't changed.

  • This was an excellent discussion, the point people need to understand is that there is a difference between a "racist" and racism itself. An individual can be be part of the racism issue, and not necessarily be a racist themselves, and many well meaning non-racist individuals can still be a contributor to the "racist" or "race" problem and unaware of their part. The gentleman on the panel was right when he said racism is an institution, and the institution needs to be changed or destroyed.

  • @MustLovePoop - You've earned your right to be blocked.

  • Thank you for putting these vids up. I did not like how the panel seemed to hate the audience even though they hadnt done anythig. Simply because the majority of them were white it meant that they were to blame, and in my mind that just as bad as the other way around. I dont believe that a white person today is responsible for the crimes of what another white person did many years ago. It was just wrong to group the audience as a whole and belittle them, there are no excuses for hatred.

  • @ChocolateORE - How the panel seemed to hate the audience???????? WOW!

  • @ChocolateORE ArE U OUT of your MIND ! the panel did not hate the audience . That audience was tryna make the white culture/People the Victim in this situation .The white audience was getting mad at what the panel was saying because it made whites look bad ..But LETS face it That's the truth and TRuth hurts. RACISM was created by WHites. THat white lady talked about solutions but the solution can only start with them and their children bcuz they have the upper hand in this society. THE END

  • @109shiane No, whatever the argument may b, there needs 2 b some moderation. I can agree that blacks have been hurt by white society and that they may have strong recentments, but that will never give them the right 2 lash out or accuse some random white person or treat them less bcause of assumptions that they r part of the bad people. Not on the basis of being white alone, that would b racism. I'm not even white and Ive been talked down 4 simply looking white by some black ppl and it's not ok.

  • @ChocolateORE Here's the thing there R bad people in this world no matter what color ( white black yellow red .) i get that and i'm sorry tht u happened 2 meet some angry blacks. But the fact remains blacks in America can be Prejudice but not racist (towards whites). if a black man says he dislikes a white man its because of his white actions and this white society tht made him prejudice against whites not the color of his skin.BOAN I must admit though America is slowly becoming a great nation

  • @109shiane "if a black man says he dislikes a white man its because of his white actions " White actions? What where MY white actions? Asking a little black girl to scoot a bit over cause she was sitting wrong and her backpack was digging into my side? Her mom came off all on me that her baby could sit how ever the hell she wanted, that this was her neighborhoon and white bitches like myself had no right being all up in here. No, I think black people can be as bad as some white people.

  • @ChocolateORE - The point she was making was that whites have done significantly bad things to blacks, other races, the environment and wildlife more so than any other race. SURE! You can find individual people who are ignorant and bad, but whites have done ignorant and bad things in mass.

  • There is NO solution..

Whats done is done and it can NEVER be taken back..

We do not have to fogive and forget...

We should not forgive and forget...

    How can we...

    Would they??

  • @omahni2 - You are 100% correct! In fact, when it comes to all the wrongs of the past like SLAVERY, JIM CROW and the blood shed from the beginnings of the CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT, I like to quote the JEWS.........

    .

    WE SHALL NEVER FORGET!!!

  • Modern day racism started out as a Joke. Tongue and cheek, so to speak. Benjamin Franklin was its Inventor. The fore fathers of America needed a way to keep slaves in America because the Underwriters were concerned about the importing of Africans as slave labor and were poised to stop supporting the development of America. So Ben (who coined the phrase) "They only know what we tell them", used color to say that it's ok to enslave africans because their color made them less human. The Independent

  • This was a great upload. And yeah I was rollin at Soul Train scramble board at the end! I looked for Bonita's book on Amazon and the sucka was around 90 dollars. I'd love to get it though.

  • @Musicball Yeah, I hate that it's out of print. Where is she now?

  • That book Bonita wrote seems real interesting though.

  • This was a good Donahue episode he usually did good shows in general. But I would like to see more dealing with the plight of darker skinned "blacks" in relation to our community and the larger society as a whole, there already are some but most deal with being biracial or of mixed parentage and what they particularly face. Personally I've seen more light skinned blacks put on a pedestal among blacks and whites in the U.S. Did you record this yourself when Soul Train and Donahue was on T.V? LOL.

  • and then it goes in to soul train lol

  • The black people in the US are the real Hebrew Israelites.

Thats why the whites hate them.

Revelations 1 vers 12 till 15 speaks of a BLACK Jesus.

there is NO doubt that they are the lost tribes of Israel.

  • I wanna know which actress she was talking about.

  • @jb26508 lol ME TOO.

  • @jb26508 I think it's Heather Locklear google her name and mixed race. Apparently, she has African and Native American ancestors. She has a rounded African type nose.

  • i believe in the check the box off by nationality... much more important

  • This is a human problem anglos have been to war with just about every race and beat them and enslaved or desrtoyed or just plain imperalism but that is the past no one did itcurrently its time for the other races or the minorities to forgive and its time for the anglos to forget there imperial ways until then non will prosper and non shall be happy only the usualy same old racism claims were the minority has to be the victom and the anglos feel its equal

  • Thank you for sharing this on youtube. I remember watching this when it first aired. It was a very interesting discussion then and it still is today (to me at least).

  • F.Y.I.

Today, Kathleen Cross has a myspace page. I found it by simply typing her name in the people search. You can see current photos of her, all her daughters and her grand kids.

  • they look Creole

  • @Haitian11590 That's because Creole are Black People

  • @MrSuperboiii ummm... some but not all. And i see that u are haitian. I know that when haitians refer to creole they usually are talking about the language they speak. but when we talk about creoles in america, we're usually referring to the Louisiana Creoles. Louisiana Creoles are usually of african, french, spanish and native american descent., they are so mixed up that u cant just call them one specific race.

  • And of course they film the black lady clapping after that lady suggests they "check the box American next time."

  • salonge1,

I thought is was hilarious for that woman to say "Maybe you should check the box American next time". LOL! Like checking a box will solve all of America's racial issues. LOL! What a joke!

  • @americanpatriot00 I don't think the audience was truly in touch with what the panel was talking about

  • @FOGang - No, they weren't. I think most of them were in denial. Just like the Jewish lady who thinks her situation is similar. The audience were completely on another planet, because YOU CAN'T TELL A JEW A MILE AWAY, but you sure can see what color a person is. ASTONISHING HOW SOME DIDN'T GET THAT!

    .

I think Phil Donahue picked most of the audience members from the Peanut Gallery. They seem as though they had no clue of America's dark past and how the residue from that dark past lingers.

  • @americanpatriot00 Exactly and MANY times you can't tell a Jew close up either. You usually can tell a black person or person of color close up if not a mile away

  • It's sad to think even though our technology is advanced as it is, the mentality of many of us is still as backward & ignorant as we were centuries ago.

It's easy to associate racism with ignorance but some racist people aren't even uneducated which leads to the fact that the majority of white people r conditioned to believe in "white superiority" & do not recognise problems caused by racism cos those problems never really affect their lives. They might sympathise but 'll never truly understand.

  • & of course not all white people r racist but they've had this advantage of their "whiteness" in society for hundreds of years. A lot of them were brought up to believe they r more superior, not necessarily by their parents but by society & the media.

When u don't have to go through what non-white people have to go through, u will never be able to identify their pain, frustration & anger. They think people r creating unnecessary issues & causing troubles. & question what the fuss is about.

  • I hate when people "Grandstand" like that woman who said "maybe we should check the box American next time".

Well checking the proverbial box "American" didn't prevent Usef Hawkins from being murdered, and won't solve anything.

  • @americanpatriot00 But i agree they shud have a box as american n not all of thoses colors and stuff. whats the point?

  • @Redrumhydro It's sad. I'm African American and when I moved to Germany there was a box that said "American" I almost chocked up in tears. It felt good to finally check that off.

  • saxxy2011, yak6ex and Narmedor have all been blocked.

Anyone else I find using the terms they've used (and other historically biggoted racist terms) to directly address others, you will be blocked to.

I don't mind people arguing with each other, or even calling one another stupid, silly, dumb, or moron, etc., I just cannot tolerate racist, biggoted, disparaging slurs. Others don't mind, but I do

  • Checking the "box, American" would do ZERO to solve the problems being talked about then and now.

  • if we all believe in adam and eve cause all these religions you mentioned do.

THen how can we follow the story and not know that we all came out of 3 brothers who later on followed a path that cursed alot of generation's i know it's hard to face not only for black but for white to.

ANd to answer your question's your FRench

cause you are what your father is.

    not your mother.

  • I disagree with your statement, infact its a blatent lie. A lot of people are trying to discourage me from visiting various West-African countries with the same arguement as you. In my community we have a very large population of West-African who understand who Black Americans are. Your comment has struck a deep nerve Im not gonna lie, shoot, I have encountered Africans who call me scum of the world, but they are the ignorant minority of Wst-Africans who dont know how things came to be.

  • cont', The day I visit Mali I will conduct my own surveys about what Africans think of Black Americans the good and bad. Correct me if Im wrong, but I think it bothers white people in America that Blacks want, can, and will try to stay connected with our African culture. The past 3 yrs Ive been on a quest to talk with Africans from all over and come to find out they are eager to welcome us and discuss current issues between USA and Africa, I think I should start a YT series about the issue...

  • i'm intrested doing the same here in holland.

One tip The Doctrine they spread of diffrent generation's is diffrent i would advice you to start with the elders (wise) then continue with the youngsters.

    Look foward hearing from you

  • I can understand where your coming from Especially because GHANA WAS FOUNDED BY AN HEBREW ISRAELITE KING. a lot of Hebrew Israelite that escaped came to settle in west Africa. so of course they know who we are. and are the same people living still scriptural.

btw did you know we fled from EGYPT TO West Africa where we wore captured by 7 other enemies called the Europeans

don't be mad just investigate your doing a good job you'll find a lot about us at the Moroccans to

    Shalowm

  • This is a good topic and hard to discuss...

  • what that woman said, have that check box as American would be a great start. Then having education and traveling would be another, as reading about a race wouldn't be the same as seeing them in person.

  • lol Did I just see the Soul Train scramble board lol

  • mdani06,

    Yelp!

It sure did creep in there.

  • All I see are a bunch of white people trying be ethnic because some far flung ancestor was black. All African Americans have some degree of white ancestry yet most look nothing like this. These "blacks" should realize that everyone is mixed to a certain degree, even whites.

  • @AnonRep31 What was this comment in response to? Kinda stuck out to me.

  • Mankind does not have the solution...GOd's Kingdom will solve all the problems we created...

  • HalleluYAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • As someone who is Afro-American and part Hispanic...the woman in the other clip who tried to group us together as if our history within this country is the same sounds dumb as hell we're both minorities but still its different.......Bottom line people need to know the history of racism accept it not deny and we need to educate grow up move on and learn and come together

  • Do you know how they call us there? cause if you say nigger to a african he will ask you if he may take you to a dokter or at least look at you strange.

if you ask him if ya'll the same peeps he'll tell you we are NOT. but what do they call us?

    SHALOWM my ahchwhat

  • That not true, dont generalize. Some Africans dont understand this issue in the first place. The same goes for the ignorant Americans who denounce anything African.

  • So funny stop talking about the problem and come with a solution.

THat is sooooo not gonna work funny how ya'll always say that stop talking about slavery( you might just find out who you really are.hiihi) Stop playing the victom (become a victomizer)

Stop being black become white( if not in colour then in habbit ) eEh listen peeps i'm black happy to be cause that means i'm healthy CAN I GET AN AMEN and with that i say SHALOWM
