  • anyone who has ever done shoulder press with even a moderate amount of weight knows that your butt will naturally slide up, causing the arch in your back. this might create the illusion that it works more pec then shoulders, but in truth it works all shoulders, you wont get a pump in your chest from that

  • look at the angle you're lifting at.. pretty much you're still doing incline bench press... doesn't matter what you're sitting or laying on... it's the angle of the exercise you're doing.. still mad props for lifting big...

  • when you do 1 shoulder at a time you automatically cheat, becouse when the one shoulder lifts the other one does an opposite movement it immediatly reduces the difficult in lifting it. i really dont know how to explain it better but it makes an invisible swing effect. like if u swing your legs up while in air your upper body will go down to compesate for the movement on the other half of the body.

    so next time lower the weights and do the both at the same time.

  • your back is naturally arched as you know. but for presses its hard to keep form when you have to bring the bar behind or infront of your head. so try to keep you butt under your shoulders the whole time and keep our head straight and looking forward to help align your spine.remember your working shoulders not upper pecs..weight will be low. hope this was helpful.

  • depends on bodyweight, and how long you been lifting, Im guessing lifting for 6-12 months, bodyweight between 135 and 165, if those stats are right then pretty much expected, unless that 40kg per hand then thats vv good.

  • Good set. Doing 1 at a time is probably very hard. But I am surprised that a gym with so many big guys has limited dumbells. My old gym had 95kg dumbells - almost 210 lb. Good jog replying to comments btw. A lot of people don't bother. enworb, UK
