I used to be a bass, but musical theatre forced me to be a baritone (not any really good parts for basses out there). The year before this show I went to All-State Honors as a Bass 2 in the Illinois Music Educators Association. The more shows I did that were higher, the more my voice adjusted.
@SiNFury My issue with your response to MurderOfSuburbia about you being a baritone rather than a bass is that, while you explained how you used to be a bass but your voice adjusted as you were forced to move up in range for a wider variety of parts, the point is that you said in the description that you were singing bass in this piece. You don't sound like you could hit a bass note at all. Not at all. Again - Great job here. I enjoyed it. But be careful about misinformation in your description.

I think our Nathan was a better Nathan than this one and I'm not biased because I am a person who loves to give constructive criticizum (i have no clue how to spell that)
when nicely, benny, and nathan were singing, the standing order should of went nicely nathan then benny. it was really boring. we're doing guys and dolls and we have ALOT of choreography. could of had more effort

awesome voices, costumes, and props. The pit could have been a lot better. Did the conductor have the piano covering up for other instrument's parts? I didn't hear too many strings and trumpet parts.
The piano player was actually the person who directed and vocal coached the show...and yes it was more or less to try and cover up the parts that weren't up to snuff and keep a tempo the actors could actually hear.

Could have been better...And another thing I wasnt too keen about was when they started the Nathan Detroit song. Nathan was like singing along! He should have been like trying to walk off stage instead.
I agree - So many videos here (and High School Productions all together) have Nathan singing along - I guess HS Productions need all the male voices they can get :)

It sounds,like the song has been slowed down...you're all really good singers though. I did this play in school last year and sinse the seniors graduated we're now down to about 5 or six people who can sing and act...you're set is amazing! You're suits seem a little to bright for the time period the play was set in though...or maybe we just hade really dull suits.
Dude, great set...but horrible acting, singing, stage presence. We did this my senior year and our set may not be as luxurious or everyone in some great colored suit, but we could act and sing...this is horrible.
Sadly my years production of this musical sounds better than this

I love the sets...especially the spinning 5&10 very bright and colorful the costuming is great too...too bad the performing isn't top notch
