Most sales veterans understand that asking GREAT questions are key to sales success .... this video reinforces it. My key takeaway was, well, not much. No examples of good questions to ask were given. That would have underscored the message more effectively.
@chocolate - Confidence alone won't get you sales.
My successes have come by building trust & rapport with the customer by not SELLING them anything, but instead, finding a solution that helps them be successful. Although I CAN sell something I don't believe in (like I did with crappy used cars), I find most success and gratification when I can find a solution that actually helps the customer get what they want and/or need.
U need 2 develop questions specific to the customer's business needs.
Make a firm internal commitment to succeed. Your mind will come up with all sorts of great strategies and ideas, but if your heart is not fully committed, you will never succeed with a sale or a challenge. Belief is everything, and your mind is hard-wired to Ego thus developing false pride. Ego wants comfort and will push toward what you know and what is easy! I would absolutely agree with everything you're saying here, sir.
However - I would also say that anytime you make or teach a point that you GIVE AN EXAMPLE of what you mean.
For example, when you say "Ask thought-provoking questions of your prospects,"
you could then say, "for EXAMPLE, let's say you're selling cars. You could ask them, what's the single most important feature of the car you're looking to buy, Mr. Prospect? And why is that important to you?"
@tonypearl That part is in his books I presume. The man has to make a living right? A perfect example however, he has something you want and gives you a taste of it, leaving you wanting for more. Puts the thought of buying his books in your head, doesn't it.
I really liked how you paced this video with the content in a short sharp manner and really caused a reaction to your clever method to challenge the idea watching more videos
