video solution is handy, but what really gets to the core of this puzzle is to understand how it works, theoretically. Since the cubs are in a unidirectional chain, you can only try so many ways at one "chain" (where the snake bends). Mark the x,y,z axes in a 3d grid and map out in a systematic way of arranging the snake. eventually, the pattern is as follows:

x-y-x-z-y-z-x-z-y-x-y-z-y-z-y-­x-y (total of 17 "bends")

@saladin92 Yeah, how I worked it out involved an intuitive form of a similar solution. I noted where the rows of 3 cubies were and made sure I was on an edge when I reached them so as to not over reach the 3x3x3 bounds of the final shape.

@sangmai301 I could make a new version of this, I still have one of these things lying around somewhere. Jesus I was 15 when I made this.......now I'm smart enough not to wear a t-shirt when I am filming a close up of my chest XD.

BTW it's not a snake cube, its called an enigma. I have one made out of wood and figured it out the ame way.

This is WAY easier if you just start with the part you cram in. I first did it your way, but if you start with the two side-by-side sets of 3, and wrap it around it, it takes like 4 seconds, if that, to do the puzzle.

Nice job, there is a faster and easier way of doing it if you can do it this way already. It's to do it backwards, you don't have to do the hard folding part. Try it!

that is the most difficult bit to understand, what i'm doing is turning one row of three onto another row of three. Then you insert them into the hole in the middle.
