Some one needs to educate fools like this and Richard DAwkins, that cells dont just randomly gather light and turn into information. There doesn't need to be a pre existing system. If I made up a damn thing then point it out, explain where your magic light distinguish cells came from, explain how they got that ability, and how that ability was magically exploited by the animal that possesses these magic cells. Explain how "INFORMATION" is magically obtained from light.

That speculation is all well and good, but all of that is absolutely useless unless there is something behind all those light sensitive pits process the information gathered in order to render an adaptive advantage.
Explain.
What came first, the processor of the information, or the eye? Because without both, each organ would be completely useless and grant no adaptive advantage whatsoever.
Unless of course, all of such information randomly resulted in ONE generation, which is NOT evolution.
@GoldenbanjoDJ i apoligize for the late answer. The light sensitive cell originated from microscopic orginisms. Instead of thought they rely on reactions. But as a brain evolved that process no longer was used.
@GoldenbanjoDJ Probably the science getting into my head :-) micro life does not have brains, so unlike animals they use chemical reactions to control them selves and what they do, so live with early eyes would have a reaction that made it go away if it was dark and be calm if it was light.
Ah I see what you are saying. Whilst this is obviously not a brain, it's still an after-effect though isn't it? As in, even though there isn't a brain which gathers the information, there's still something required after; for example, the motor neurons and the process by which chemicals are stimulated. I guess the irreducible complexity argument doesn't just focus in on one organ, per se, but the whole system. To me it all seems too... coincidental :)
