The unit jus had a noisy compressor. It's an Amana (go figure) We replaced the unit in whole and everyone is happy. This clip is jus a short clip of many things that were checked. The sales rep. was filmimg on a cell phone so it sounds noisy x 1000 more than it was.
Sounds to me that condensor fan motor bearings should of been checked. But that requires more work. You know what makes a loud noise the frikkn I.P.R. vale inside the compressor. Especially condensor fan motor is overheating and cutting out.
i wouldn't let this joe blow work on my unit, weres his damn uniform! and theres more to a condenser than a damn condenser! cigarettes in the pocket just put the cherry on the terd!
this guy's ur typical baboon con artist full of shit hvac tek,.. people love it and buy it though. as a service tech you have to be able to butter people up otherwise they won't trust you. no matter how good a tech you are , you must make them think you know more than you do. just like this baboon, he doesn't know what the fuck's going on, yet the home owner's very satisfied. another satisfied customer. awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
so what is the superheat , subcooling, TD , WB,DB , OAT, HP,SP, and compression ratio. How do we know , non condensibles are not trapped in the system. Condition of the Airfilter, what kind of load do we see?
We were checking alot of things. This clip was jus one small portion where we were looking for higher than normal amp draw on start up. Thx for the comments. Mark Cashman The Heat Pump Doctor
I don't get...unless he was specifically checking the compressor for start up problems, it wasn't running long enough to really see if there were any other issues.
nope it's only about 12 inches and the manual says you can go 4 inches clearance but it's not reccomended... There is supposed to be 6 ft of clearance off the discharge of the condensing fan though.

Clearance of the condensor coil should be five to ten feet looks like the fence is about one foot from the condensor coil in this video
