Good lord people, I know its the not the original song. I did say I edited it and it pained me to do so, but I was under limitations of the schools tech. Yes, it is not the smoothest edit. This is one of my favorite Hayden songs. It's so sad, and I love how it's sung and how the music is tied in. You made a great video-- it must taken a long time. Good job!

Thanks for the nod. Yeah, the I felt like a right bastard for having to do the edits, but we only had so much server time to render, so....a slice here and there for time had to be made. I have plans to go back and do another cut, this time the full song and without the one cheezy cut to the tear in the middle. My partner's contribution, but I liked the one shot better. Plus I would cut the live action bits I think. So, stay tuned!

The song is called "When this is over" and it is a song from the childrens point of view of an actual event. He wrote it after hearing the story on the news of a woman drowned her children by driving her car into a river with the children strapped into the back seat. I own the original album released by Hardwood Records. Mmmmm explosive lettuce.

I have loved this album since I was 14 years old and to this day I cry every time I hear this song. And the one about the mom drowning her kids.

The contrast between the heaviness of the lyrics and the non-realism of the animation made this an accessible way to enjoy this music vuisually. The drawings were simple, yet conveyed intensity and emotion. I really liked this a lot!

Kind of. The music doesn't skip, it had to be cut down for time. The original assignment called for 30 seconds of video and I crammed 7 minutes of Hayden into as short as I thought respectable. Trust me, I hated to touch his song, but the computers at my school had limits to their rendering times.
