  • "It's great. It sold. It's the bloody Beatles White Album. Shut up." ~ James Paul McCartney

    **giggle**

  • Don't Pass Me By is one of my favorite songs.

  • ...does George say 'fuck' at 6:35?

  • @skindeepvenus Haha, yes. Off the wall, that lad.

  • I could never choose a favourite, nor distinguish their best album. They were so diverse that they covered a range of different genres - whose to say which is the best? The white album was probably their most weird and experimental, but I thought Sgt Pepper's was phenomenal and Revolver very deep. Abbey road is probably their most iconic, along with Let it Be and Help! I think what shows they are a great band is that you can't pinpoint their best work without an opinion or personal taste.

  • 5:30 George H talking to George M: "I said there's no point in Mr Martin being uptight. I mean...you're very negative!"

  • 9:20 - Love it.

  • "Its the Beatles bloody White Album." Love it.

  • Ringo, you ARE the best

  • Ringo has such an honesty about his insecurities!

  • Poor Ringo... You really can't blame him for leaving. Every band needs a loner :(

  • @WalrusMuffins10797 I thought George came across as the loner

  • Paul at 9:29 oooooh myyyyy godddddd :D

  • @alexjohnsoncshs I KNOOOWWW! i've been watching that over and over <3

  • @thudson99................... I know how you feel it's my wish to someday see Paul in concert but cannot afford the tickets , everyone I know that have seen him live say what an amazing experience it is that he gives 100% for the fans , hope someday you get to see him , all the best .

  • George: John?

    John: Yeah?..........Yes?

    George: Start again!

    John: Oh okay.

    LOL!

  • You know, i always keep ringo's story in mind whenever i'm part of a group for whatever reason. Everyone either feels like the odd one out or like they're carrying the group.

  • :O 4:16, william campbell? or paul mccartney?

  • Ringo said there was more group activity with the white album, then George says it was more individual. i'm so confused? lol

  • @MsMadiMonster Well, it IS a double album. So maybe half and half.

  • Funny, I always think the White Album is the one I'd take to a desert island... its the best of what they are and what they would become as solo artists...

  • Thumbs up if u like obladioblada, i wanna see if there are any ppl who actually dig this song besides me.

  • "Long Long Long" is absolutely haunting ... wish they'd have shown some of it here! The last vocal part is a spine tingler!

  • ahhaah the white and the whiter album.. you gotta love ringo (:

  • George tends to wear a lot of orange. I'm not complaining, he looked good in it :)

  • i agree that the white album shoulda been made into one this would be my tracklist:back in the ussr, dear prudence, glass onion, obladioblada, bungalow bill, while my guitar gently weeps, hapiness is a warm gun, martha my dear,im so tired, rocky raccoon, sexy sadie, helter skelter, revolution, honey pie, savoy truffle, goodnight. 16 great tunes. This wouldve been their best album in my opinion.

  • @katkal3 You chose Honey Pie and Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da over Yer Blues? Come on!

  • @katkal3 ...wait, you chose those over Yer Blues, AND Long, Long, Long and Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey? Jeez!

  • @TinyMontgomery204 yea, im not a big fan of any those you've mentioned,i guess beauty is in the ear of the beholder. And why is everyone so down on obladioblada? Its a great tune, very poppy but awesome nonetheless.

  • @TinyMontgomery204 Agreed: Yer Blues is a must have, for sure!!

  • @katkal3 good choices, except Obladi-oblada - the only Beatles track I sort of despise.

  • @benjaminlhaines damn, i think paul mccartney and i are the only fans of obladioblada. no one else seems to like it. what's up with that?

  • @katkal3 Don't feel alone; I know for sure that lots of people like it.

  • Right, Paul. It was the bloody Beatles' White Album. I can't believe George, Ringo, and George Martin have such negative things to say about it. For me, the White Album is their best. It's a goddamn epic; I'd always have to listen from beginning to end (usually skipping Revolution 9, I must admit). But other than the one just mentioned, what are these "throwaway songs?" Every track is classic, even the little fillers like "Can you take me back?" Such a spooky, intense collection.

  • Part of me doesn't want to watch this episode... we all know what's going to come. (John's assassination)

  • @FVII No John's Murder is not mentioned in the anthology

  • I came to the conclusion that whatever they were touching , they would make pure gold out of it !

  • nice, they got rid of the suits, and the mind numbing screams!

  • There's something about George in a sweater and his 1968 haircut that is very appealing.... ;)

  • THE BEATLES WERE WAY AHEAD OF THEIR TIME!!!!!!!!!!

  • the girl in video of paul singing blackbird is francie shwartz

  • @theemmers15 Ohhhh! Thanks for that! I was wondering who that was.

  • If they brought all of the Beatles back, dead or living, put them on stage, and held them up with chicken wire, I'd pay to see them....I don't think that kind of chemistry will ever be repeated.

  • I would to love to hear more of the Piggies part. The guitar sounded very interesting.

  • They should have cut it down. First half especially slow and indulgent.

  • @RollingOrmond - yeah its the Beatles bloody White Album! shut up!

  • @chadbragg

Macca would say that (exit George down the hall).

  • 5:14 , 5:31, 5:51, 6:36, 7:08

    geooooorge <3

  • "good night" -- maybe the best beatles songs ever ?

  • Yeah some songs could have been rjected from the album, like revolution 9.

  • its the bloody beatles white album shut up!

  • poor ringo but pual did play the drums for dear prudence back in ussr soo i do understand

  • Ringo's reason for leaving the band was because he felt unloved ! And the flowers !!! I died from cute.

  • @Yeaahright I don't know if you know this (or even care) :) but Oasis' song "Don't Look Back In Anger" was inspired by that bit in Beatles history. It's not at all mentioned explicity, but maybe it's how they're singing or the tone of the words that make me think it all makes sense for it to be about Ringo leaving, and everyone saying "Come back, we love you!".

  • whats the song called at 6:11

  • @chitos95 Mother Nature's Son

  • Comment removed

  • 4:08 YES SIR!! THATS MAH BABAYY!!! >:3

  • whats the song at 5:00

  • @legolas35653 Sexy Sadie

  • @legolas35653 rocky raccoon

  • i guess this is paul's "ridiculous shoes" period...

  • 5.28 Interesting to hear Harrison getting at it with Martin!

  • Pleaasee the name of the song that starts at 7.00 ? pleaasee Beatles 4e!

  • Why Don't We Do It In the Road? Sounds like a different version.

  • thx taake caree!

  • @siemensmobile Why Don't We Do it in the Road.

  • Ringo leaving first made perfect sense. Hearing Back in the USSR and Dear Prudence, where Paul did the majority of the drums, one finds the reality that not writing anything and being in the studio means that he was, more or less useless, until Don't Pass me By was recorded.

  • @Koolkitties You're right, and I think to some extent this is also why George was beginning to feel resentful, but I still love the bit where it's revealed that Ringo goes to John and says he's out because he feels like he's not part of the club anymore, and John says he felt the same way, and then Paul also says the same thing. Part of me really wishes they could have built on that moment where they all exchanged their insecurities, only to be built up by the others.

  • George: "There was a lot of, you know, ego in that band."

  • Haha why is Ringo wearing an Oakland Raiders hat?

  • @paulhindt cause he's awesome

  • Wow... George is so beautiful at 05:30.

  • 3:20 to the left.. is that a groupie. In my opinion I think the white album is my favorite. Abbey road is good but not the "best" album.

  • theyre all incredible albums in my opinion

  • I love the chick sitting in the corner on Blackbird.

  • A band you could never get tired of. :)

  • The white album is such a great mixture of styles and songs.

  • Love Blackbird. One of my favorite sing-along songs. I hope someday I can afford to see Paul in concert to see him play it live. That would bring a smile to my face.

  • Oh, and I WILL see him performing live: on the 16th December!!!

  • @MarthaFeeny when is he gonna play in london

  • @legolas35653

    Don't know....

I was on his "Good Evening Europe" - Tour in Cologne...

  • @thudson99 everybody should get a chance to see paul live :)

  • @thudson99 I'm lucky. My Wife and I are going to see him Vegas this weekend. I can die anytime after that.

  • @CrazyCoach you are fortunate, Seeing Paul is something good to have on one's bucket list. Have fun u 2.

  • The White Album's a masterpiece!

  • I wanna be your lover baby! I wanna be your man!

  • its the bloody beatles white album! shut up!
