  • The last Transam produced with the 455 was in 1976 and the SD-455 was listed at 290 HP (220 KW). That's flywheel KW, so working on 1/3 powertrain loss, that would be 150 KW at the rear wheels. This run was 191 RWKW which isn't bad for a small block Chev. BTW, it's now fuel injected and running over 200 RWKW and decent torque. A 455 would be nice though as they can easily be returned to over 500 HP with mountains of torque.

  • beautifull car!! pathetic hp! go 455

  • badass paint!! im doing mine orange with a black bird

  • were huge sunroofs an option back then??

  • Its called T-Tops ...

  • nice.....you should sign that thing up for the Bandit Run 09.

  • DAM that sounds great nice ride dude

  • BEAUTIFUL!! I had a 80 Turbo with a pearl/blue paint job and with a mildly built 73 LeMans 455. Had so much torque it was twisting the body of the car up at the pillars. Would have LOVED to have had fuel injection and overdrive on that car, it would have been my No. 1 transportation.
