  • Never doubted the Landcrusher for a minute! Nice driving too by the way ;-)

  • filmed with a potato?

  • Nice!!

  • Those kiddies will remember that for the rest of their lives. I know I did.

  • V8?

  • @USMCxAK47. Yep. Chevy LS1 5.7L.

  • your vids have brought a great smile to me. My first car was a Fj40 4.2 straight six short wheel base and same colour as yours. Bulit 1975. I always wanted to add a Chevy but was told the Transfer-case would not hold the power.

    thanks for sharing...

  • @Fastskippy Only to pleased to share. Glad the vids put a smile on your dial. The 400hp Chev hasn't broken the transfer case yet (touch wood), New piston n rings and a mild cam booked in for it this year. ;)

  • @pete401 .... Sweet, will be watching for your vids... Enjoy..:)

  • hey, i own a fj45 lwb right now but i really wanna get a swb and put a v8 in it.

What other mods hav you done? air lockers? anything?

  • BTW your shorty looks amazing :) haha.

  • wow!! nice!!!!

  • lol far out

  • this is 4x4

  • nice!! love the sound of that engine...

  • Cheers itchy.

  • You guys have to be aussies! Love it mate, im considering getting an fj40 on 33"muddies here in perth :) looks like a great car.

  • Awesome video mate!! Thought you were gonna get stuck at the end but you made it look easy getting out of there!!!

  • thats a beast right there

  • love the fj, doing a build up my self, im opting for the efi 304 though. still a pretty strong engine in my opinion....

  • wow...it sounds like monster

  • Sick cruiser! Are those 33's or 35's?

  • Cheers!

    it's on 35's. =)

  • you treat it like a boat!!! good stuff

  • hahaha farrr out indeed

  • Another good video. Love seeing the old 40's in action. But ohh, gear changes under water? Thats a worry.

  • Changing gears under water has caught me out since. So I installed a Exedy clutch. Works well under water. ;-)

  • ha and you thought he was gunna get bogged,

top job mate i take my hate off too ya.

i got stuck one, lukily you got a chev hey.

  • I thought I was stuck there to. But the Chevy powered Toyota got me out. The 35 inch tyres helped to. =)

  • How did you get the snorkle to work with the V8. We get some pretty deep mud in Mississippi and really need one for my FJ.

  • I had an air box made up fitted with a pannel K&N filter to go between the 4 inch snorkel and 4 inch throttle body. If you check out another video clip of mine labeled "FJ40 starts up" you'll see it. Works really well, no power loss what so ever. ;-)

  • at 2:40 that looks and sounds mad!

  • hard to get a yoda stuck!

  • Cool stuff mate, looks like the kids loved it!

  • Cheers! The kids love it alright. They always ask, "when are we going four wheel driving?". =)

  • do you want to sale it.........,how much

  • Thanks for the offer. But it's not for sale. Cheers.

  • hee hee that was fun the kids would have been loving it. makes me want to take the 253 out of my fj40 and stick something decent in it.

  • Hey there's nothing wrong with the 253! It beats the stock 2F 4.2 =)

  • that was awesome, nice v8 sound, ls1 aye?? what did you have to do make it withstand water so well?? top marks!!!

  • Cheers! Yep, it's an LS1. The only mod done to make it withstand the water is a snorkel. Apparently the LS1 will run completely submerged. =)

  • I really enjoyed 4wding it was really fun,I loved the part with the water coming in and it came in really fast...

  • Thanks kids. (that comment came from my kids)
