@ToddKobrin I was having a bad day yesterday... without doubt you need luck and skill to win the big ones; watching ahead it's clear that Moorman likes his preflop shoves. I guess that, with a clearer head now, seeing a preference for such high-variance plays could be criticised. Oh, and my apologies for the hostility.
It´s often down to close hands, but this wasn´t even close. Could be lucky for two pairs on the board and a split pot for a stupid raise with a weak ace, then got lucky on the river. That was no poker skill at all, pure luck, that are the percentages in poker which you can´t eliminate. And Mr Hellmuth take a look at Patrik, how to take a seriously bad beat!!
@ToddKobrin Lol keep kidding yourself that you can play at that level. There is WAAAAY too much going on in their minds that you cannot comprehend. He might have gotten lucky, sure, but you're deducing far too much about a player from a tiny percentage of hands you've seen; biased for TV at that.
This goes to show you even a donkey like moorman with an insane reraise all in with a small ace, short table or not, shows how the 50% of poker that is out of the players hands can be used to a max. effectiveness, just ask the donkey moorman.
