  • can you spread it on a cake? PLZ ANSWER! My mom's birthday is coming up on the fifth so i need answers ASAP :S

  • @PuppySweets9 Yes, you can. The only problem is that it dries very hard. I would suggest mixing a little and testing it out on a cupcake first. It's edible and very tasty and you will be able to cut through your cake. Hope this helps.

  • so you can make the royal icing and make little flowers or whatever and keep them in a box or container and then whenever you need to use them you just put them on the cakes? Is this true i wasnt really sure?

  • amei esse video preciso aprender e agora não posso pagar um curso

  • hi, what is royal icing made of? I can't understand what ingrediets you said in the video... thanks :-)

  • can you use canned icing (like duncan heins) to make these decorations?

  • @hermione1135 No, it's too soft and oily. Royal icing and even buttercream is super easy to make, try it and you'll never go back to the can, trust me.

  • hey guys please tell me how to make the icing hard?

  • @carlasecret14 When you make the royal icing, when you pipe it out and leave it for hours or over night, it will be hard. To make the royal icing, you need about 1 2/3 cups of icing sugar per egg white. Add the icing sugar to the egg white a little at a time making sure that it is well combined. keep mixing till smooth. If it is too dry, add a tsp of water. If too thin, add more icing sugar.

    I hope this can help : )

  • @DadaAlano Keep a damp towel over the bowl so that it wont harden when using... : )

  • @maytegodoy I saw in a video.. i think 1 2/3 cups of icing sugar per egg wihte... if it's too dry, add a little bit water, if too wet, add more icing sugar... : )

  • she talks a bout using the other product to make the royal icing dry harder or softer. If I want it to dry harder, should I use a lot or a little of corn syrup? ALso, how do you make those flowers! :)

  • @lizzy97 You can use a basic star tip or a drop flower tip. To use the star tip, hold the bag straight up and down, squeeze and slowly turn your bag to the the right and lift straight up. You can use a small plain tip to decorate the middle. Using a drop flower tip is much easier because all you do is hold the bag straight up and down and squeeze and you've create your flower :) Hope this helps. (If I was horrible at explaining this you can youtube a dropflower tutorial ;) )

  • I beg to differ regarding the taste. I think sugar flowers made from Royal icing is the tastiest of sugar flowers. By itself, its quite tasty but flavoring can be added to enhance flavor. it dosn't have any fat which makes it quite pleasant without the greasiness of buttercream.

It does dry quite hard but it melts on the tongue without leaving gummy buttery residue.
