Amazing how the presenter manages to make it sound like all villages are like the few in this programme - one in particular wasn't even a real village, it was probably just over a mile from a city. The area in the North West in which I reside is rural, I live in a village as do many I know - they maintain their quite, refined charm and most will have broadband/Sky TV. Not to mention everyone will say 'hello' to you when on the street and everyone knows each other - something cities do not offer.
