He wasnt originally in Sonic 2. You had to have the Sonic & Knuckles Cartridge and plug Sonic 2 into the top of it to get this to work. Nowadays of course you can get a Rom which has the 2 games combined for an Emulator or things like Sonic Mega Collection on GameCube,Xbox 1, PS2 and PC have it as an available game.

I think its also available on Xbox Live Arcade for the 360.

there is this thing called a lock on cartridge... dont know much about it but i know you can use it to play as knuckles in sonic the hedgehog 2.

And sonic and knuckles was the only game i know that featured a lock-on feature.Simply slid the covered movable upper part and insert sonic 1,2,3.

If you added sonic 1 and pressed abc,you got the blue spheres bonus game.If you locked on sonic 2.You can play sonic2 only with knuckles.

And if you added locked on sonic 3 you get knuckles as a choosabel characters from all.Play the stages from sonic 3 to knuckles.Get all chaos emeralds for super form of knuckles.

Get to the knuckles part of the game.You give away your chaos emeralds(can't turn super anymore) and then you can try getting all the super chaos emeralds.

If you get them all,you could get hyper sonic,super tails or hyper knuckles.

To play as knuckles you have to buy a Sonic and Knuckles expansion thing (Looks a lot like a game genie for Super Nintendo). You stick Sonic 2 in the top and WHAMO! you play as knuckles.

First i needed the sonic mega collection plus for pc to record this game,then i used fraps for recording the vids everything was saved in the fraps folder,then i used the windows movie maker and throw in the vids and music,i saved that as a project and then when i was satisfied with the vid i saved this into a movie file,with windows movie maker.And this is how i made this vid and all my other vids pretty basic way.

I was able to kill silver sonic before he was able to execute ANY attack.

But the spindash thing was great, I actually never thought of that.

All you need to do is be right where silver comes in and right when he lands, probably a split second before he moves his metal spikes you gotta do a REALLY short jump and you should be able to get 8 hits in before silver does his spindash.
