It's another mind-control tactic because "they" know that the public tend to follow the herd (where the majority goes)... Hence, if all of these vids appeared to have high-and consistent numbers, the herd will follow and if not, the herd will disconnect and go where the majority of the herd (the highest view counts) are roaming.

The one about the number of views decreasing as the videos progress in and of itself did not prove anything, but some people replied and said that youtube does mess with view numbers at times and as we can see from the views (most of the time) people have short attention spans. So it's kind of a yes and no thing.
