On the Pat Boone and the Engelbert Humperdinck versions it indicates A.Testa as the Italian words. So they both have worked on Mr Testa's words.

"Reelin' in The Years" Productions LLC. Most of the clips are taken from his own highly acclaimed variety show "The Engelbert Humperdinck Show" 1969-70. The DVD is great, with old Engelbert telling the story of each featured song and also recalling experiences with other great musicians he has met along the years.
